I really love the layered paint on the van. It really brings back the custom airbrush work people did back when I was a kid. The sparkle was a classic 70's look. Great choice of wheels.

The sparkle on this one is perfect, glad you added the round rear side windows. In my mind these vans always need a rear side window. Nice work as always!

The 1970's look at lot better in 1/64th scale than the full size I remember ! That intro genuinely made me laugh. Again, beautiful paint and finish. Thanks for the great entertainment.

The paint scheme on-the-fly is awesome and the curved "perv" windows are essential. Only wish there was room for a wolf howling at the moon...

I think the peep show van may just slightly beat you. Very close. Both are great. I think his bubble windows pushed him ahead a little. But you also did fender flares. Tough decision. Both have GREAT paint jobs.

Awesome job on this one! The real winners from this collab are the viewers, everyone brought their A game and all of the vans even the bonus ones came out sweet as. Glad jimmy found his way home, don't think I wanna know what he's been up to while he was gone lol.

Looks Great! Reminds me of my dads van, he had a 1965 Dodge van he metal flaked silver by himself. He had left over metal flake and as kids, all we saw was glitter to play with, constantly all over the house. Wish I had the patience to remake a diecast myself to match that van he had.

This beautiful Van reminds me of "stardust". Hmmmm...cool name. Oh, don't forget Jimmy's Sealy Posturpedic workbench!!! I crack myself up.

Glad Jimmy was found. I know he must love his new custom Slippery Jimmy love machine. I noticed at about 10:20 in your video when pulling off the masking tape, a green horizontal stripe appeared....I thought it looked cool. No one however, can argue with your great results..Thanks man.

I'll have to give the nod to you for sticking to a totally original paint job and not crutching it with preprinted decals. Yeah, Peep Show bubble windows were a good idea. I thought your solution was just as effective. Kudos!!

I use Tamiya putty for my wide bodies. I glue soda can strips in the wheel well to hold putty in shape while it dries. Then I take the strips out and sand the putty to the desired shape I want.

AMAZING!! If I buy a 70's Van you got the Job to paint. Sparklers are Nice. 😀👍

Your best paint job to date. You've come along way. Here's an idea. Watch how to paint motorcycle gas tank videos. Those guys come up with cool ideas. And I think they would scale down pretty well. An example is this one guy was doing a candy paint job. But when he put on his silver. He to plastic wrap and laid it over the wet paint. He then proceeded to move it and give it wrinkles. Then he took the wrap off and let it dry. It gave the coolest looking pattern that showed up under his blue candy. Anyway thanks for sharing your videos, and keep up the good work.

Man you're talent is amazing. If you ever do another one, I'd love to see you tie the fender flares into each other creating a running board ground affect. Wo knows, if you really want to get crazy with the ground affects maybe add some under body glow lighting..... Hahaha! With your capabilities I bet the sky is the limit. Can't wait for your next one!

The orange lettering on the back compliments the blue nicely. Should have put some orange detailing on the sides to tie it in. Maybe a beltline stripe or something.

Excellent paint job! the only critique I have would have been slightly wider tires on the front to fill out the fender flairs.

The whole van is a disco ball! Nice sparkle - 🌌 love the commentary and voices and sound effects. You are a joy. Absolutely cannot pick a winner among the artists in this challenge. Super fun.

Hi Dr.Diecast, the van turned out nice but I would rather see it in the blue and silver with some black stripes. Love those fender flares, you did a really nice job on them and like the decal on the back, and I really like the port holes in the back, that was a nice touch.

looks great, for the flairs try drilling small holes in the body where they go so the putty sinks in and holds them in place

It’s ironic that I just picked up that same van to customize later-and yes-Mattel does put a thick layer of clear coat on anything Car Culture or premium like the Disney cars. The aircraft Klein Strip is a bit hard to find in California so I do sand off the clear coat a bit before dousing them with the stripper. I enjoy watching your videos and you are hilarious btw 😂👍🏻 it’s cool watching your trials and tribulations because I can definitely relate. Keep it up! 😎👍🏻
