🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but currently call Vietnam home. I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

You’re meant to laugh at him, not the people he’s interviewing. Gordan Ramsey visited a village that lovingly cooked tarantulas for him and he literally spit it out, making it as loud as possible. Sonny is beyond classier for treating each culture with respect and being open to different food. I double respect him for encouraging the audience to eat bugs, which has exponentially more protein pound-for-pound than mammal meat. Love this show and Sonny. Edit: I wish I could turn off notifications so I could stop getting all of these hOt tAkES on what respect means, which most of my replies don't have.

Even if you believe in a creator deity it had to have created nature, and so could not also be that which it supposedly created. Anyhow, ‘nature’ is more than just plants, trees and flowers (etc). It is all things, the processes of all life. One such process is human creativity, and one such act of creativity is the use of chemicals and preservatives in food. We are not distinct from nature. I have eaten all of the above when I traveled to northeastern Thailand years ago, although the cooking styles were different. All the bugs and tarantulas were roasted. Giant red ants captured from their colony were used as the source of the sour flavoring in all the foods we ate, and ant eggs were flavored with spices and herbs and eaten raw. I couldn't remember how the roasted tarantulas tasted like because I was too drunk by then.
