Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

As a child born of this war, this episode made me emotional especially when Yia started talking about his parents, Laos, and the war. My dad was also in the military and the story Yia told is similar to the stories my parents told to me. I miss my parents more watching this video. My dad was also a great cook.

It’s no the choice of food what bothers me, but how they treat the animal before they consume it. I’ve been all across Asia, they don‘t care too much about the animal, it’s simply a food Ressource. I don‘t mean to insult anyone, I love the Asian countries, and met lovely people. This is simply my observation while I‘m traveling

Here's a fun fact: My mom is Hmong and was in a refugee camp in Thailand. She immigrated to the US in 1992. The previous year the movie Terminator 2 came out and apparently it was shown to the camp my mom was in. The movie scared Hmong people so much that it created a fear of going to the US, because they thought Americans were like the T-1000. According to my mom, there were a couple Hmong families that refused to go to America because of this.

So far, love the two videos in Laos. I am a Hmong America who left Laos when I was about 12 years old and I dont remember if I have eaten some of the foods when I was in Laos on these two videos, but I dont think I can try or eat some of the foods that you two have tried on these two videos. You guys are like warriors, brave enough to try the foods that we, westerner people are never heard of or we have heard of but known to carried diseases that can kill us. He’s spot on when he said “when I come to these places I don’t feel bad for these ppl, they have a strong sense of community, in touch with nature etc etc” I say this bc governments will constantly say the reason there is so much crime and violence is bc of people being poor when in reality it is how the system is set up.

Sonny , as usual a great video showing all angles of the culture, their food and their history , broadening the horizons and understandings to our “ plastic processed food culture “ ! However , don’t drink the kool-aide when it comes to the origins of Covid-19 , it has been traced back to our military complex and very much a man made (lab) production, deep dive research bears this out ! Thanks again for your great show , big fan !!!
