The darling pony that is running for joy is indeed the same one you rescued only a short time before! Her spirit had been wounded, but it recovered under your care. She was a smart girl who trusted your staff. A HPHS miracle. Your detractors should be ashamed to have not believed! 🤠💓🐴💗

It just highlights how crushed and emotionally broken they are to end up at the auction. I don’t think people consider how frightened they are. It’s very sad.

I love the fact that you allow your young helpers to develope and hone their skills in so many areas. They are so knowledgeable and confident in horse training, care and health, business management, personnel management, public relations, public speaking, charitable fund raising, website development and video making. Also, responsibility and hard work. And they get to do it all while working with beautiful horses. Wow. These skills will give them a great basis going forward, no matter what they do. You are so nurturing to everything around you. You want everything to achieve their best life. Kudos.

For horses with we call 'witch's knots' in their tails or manes, Cowboy Magic is awesome. I was able to save a gelding's tail when my brother-in-law was ready to cut it all off. Looked a lot like that tail. Leaves it super silky and smooth, and doesn't attract dirt.

All the workers at this organization do an amazing job with all animals rescued from auction. My mom and I used to do the same thing. We would go to an auction and find skinny and malnourished horses and with the right treatment and tlc they transform into beautiful creatures. We rescued a thoroughbred named 3 times lucky from a slaughter buyer for $350.00. we looked up her tattoo under her lip and she was stolen from cornell university in ny. She was there for surgery due to a bowed tendon. We called up the college and they contacted owner who signed her over to us for rescuing her. She had some injuries from stray dogs and owners had to pay for vet bills. When she was healthy and sound we sold her to a lovely family as a trail horse. We did background checks and family had nothing on their record. We did a property check to make sure she wouldn't get hurt and that environment was safe before she was handedover and money exchanged hands. We rescued, rehabilitated and I trained the green or wild horses. Please keep up the amazing work.thank you for doing what you can to safe animals from undeserved fate.

I rescued a beautiful foal and she was to be my next riding partner because my mare that I rode for years deserves to be retired and just enjoy life. It came time to put Velvet into training and she kept coming up lame. She was three at the time. We discovered she has a bone disease and is not rideable. She is now 7 and every day is a gift to have her. I will love and take care of her until the vet tells me her quality of life is failing. Then I will be thankful that I got to love her and do what is right for her! Thank you for all you do. I have the utmost respect for your work❤️Love from Idaho

That beautiful pony is free from the stressful environment and finally has room to run free. Thank goodness for caring people like you. Also, anyone who has some degree of common sense and insight enough to see a “ genuine” person doing heroic, selfless work with your level of commitment, would know you’re the “real deal,”

It's amazing what food and hydration will do for an animal. They obviously haven't watched the videos of the horses. Just guzzling down water when get to your place. You can tell they're just so happy to have something to drink.

You know they won’t want to lie on concrete. Pads of some kind will be wanted. Pads are heavy and stay put. I had horses on concrete and I had pads. The horses chose the pads over the concrete. At home I did pads over stone dust or 2b modified. It works well for me.

There are way too many horses with something wrong with feet or legs to be standing on hard concrete and even if they did concrete should put mats down just as easy to clean....just as in a barn..... SO DONT GO GROUOING ME WITH THE GRUOP OF HATERS ON INTERNET....BECAUSE YOUR TALKING OUT YOUR BUTT THINKING YOU KNOW ANYTHING....YOUR JUST A LOUD MOUTH THAT LIKES ARGUING

For a tail like Laredo's, wash with a decent shampoo and warm water. Use a bucket if he doesn't like the hose. Apply a really good conditioner for moisturizing like Pantene Intense Moisture and work it in well. Start from the end and use the pick you are currently using (blue one) or one with longer tines. In about two hours he will have a tail that will need to be trimmed because it will drag on the ground! (I'm speaking from experience).

Maybe this person is trying to cause you problems by creating doubt in the eyes of others. You do amazing work by saving these horses from abuse, neglect, and death. At the end of the video anyone can see this is the same horse you rescued. The mane and body are identical. She is carefree and happy. Before the rescue she is in a dark depressing stall, after in a sunny pasture. Lighting can affect the color. No brainer, unless you have no brain or have a nefarious agenda. Keep being a light for these beautiful animals.

After being in this industry for over 17 years and talking to multiple veterinarians about our sheltering situation we have all come to the conclusion that concrete is the best situation for the amount of horses we have come through in a temporary sheltering environment. Because the horses are not here long term and the concrete would be in the feeding area concrete is perfectly fine for short term sheltering of horses in high traffic areas. We would not recommend this for long-term living situations for horses.

@@hphs I was thinking rubber mats.. but they are really expensive and the horses are only there to be brought back to health and adopted.. mine stood on concrete for a couple of years in the feeding area as that was all i had.. and no money for anything better.. they were fine and better having dry hoofs,, it is better than mud.

Can I make a suggestion for the horse with the matted tail? From experience with that problem the best thing i found to loosen the matt and make it easy to get out is WD-40. Spray it generously all over the matt rub it with your hands to work it in and then instead of a comb, use a large finishing nail and always start from the bottom and work up. Its easier to pick the knots out with a nail (or a crochet hook) than a comb. You want to pick it out, not comb it out. Then afterwards.. no combs. I never combed or brushed a tail, I pick thru it with my fingers, way less breakage. I love your channel and donate when I can. Thank you for saving who you can and giving a horse down on their luck, a second chance.

No dislikes at all! People really understand the serious situation these horses have gone through, and are glad to know someone cares so much about them. Awesome job guys! Question: Is there a black horse that has a smooth gait? I love black horses, and I almost fall off the saddle when their gait is bumpy. Last I had ridden a horse was almost 5 years ago. I miss it so much and want to plan out my future knowing what I am getting into.

Regarding the pony that is "not the same pony". That commenter needs glasses - the pony has a very obvious and unique roach back (bumpy vertebra) in its spine just in front of its hindquarters, easily seen in both the before and after photos. Its coat is also very sunbleached in a unique shade and pattern, identical from before to after. Get thee to an optometrist, doubting commenter - it *is* the same pony!

Don’t listen to the people that are negative. I’m sure you don’t have time to trick people. Idiots. There’s always going to be negative people.

Lol! Hello how the heck can she tell anyway. The pony picture is from inside and then he’s outside. The lighting is different. I think you better go and get doubles for all your rescues so that we think the transformations are amazing. Pppp some people

Unfortunately, there are people (called Club Kids) who troll the internet for the sole purpose of sowing trouble. They post statements and assertions they KNOW are incorrect just to be disruptive. Upsettimg people over lies is their wheelhouse; their power trip. Best thing is to ignore them. Genuine people see the truth and think the Club Kids need to grow up and find something constructive to do, like the workers at Horse Plus.

That sure seems like a lot of hay waste. I sure hope the concrete helps and that it is not a technique problem. Hay is expensive... I hate hearing about all your hassels!

Well this rescue is in TN a red conspiracy state. I think you do a wonderful job and waiting for Animal Planet to pick you up like PitBulls and Parolees. I love animals, wish I had the space and finaces to have horses. I got to tend and ride as a teenager at a cousins fram. Lovedit. Work out a deal with Hillsboro High School in Nashville. They need a burro for a mascot.

please don't spend time feeding the attention needs of trolls. it's what they want. you're calling them back for more by admitting that they got to you with their silliness

15:45 Luckily you are an organization with lots of information about yourself, like these videos. And that makes all the difference, you could answer by posting a different photo, that shows that she's still skinny, but that her spirit is why she looks so much better/different. Even so, you can tell the truth and people will still not believe it, just look at Trump supporters.

I love you and your organization. I love everything that you do. But please, don't use your influence to try to get people to do pointless arguments on Facebook. What an absolute waste of time.
