When you rescue a horse that people have dumped, there will be those animals that are beyond medical help. What I appreciate so much is that these horses have been spared the horror of a kill pen journey . At least they have known a kind hand, peaceful surroundings, green grass, a pail of grain and a painless passing. This is a blessing. Thank you for your dedication. Great team you have there. 🇨🇦❤️

Lois I totally agree in a kill pen they are scared weak and miss their home and dint understand. Yes granted they medically can’t be helped. But these were family members grant them a peaceful passing to greener pastors. Never agree ever with that horror and I feel so helpless. Maybe government change can be implemented. Please try to call your local MPs and take this to the top. Anything but this horror that hasn’t changed in many years!,,

I'm so blown away by these people it makes me cry some of these episodes can I just ask God why why it happens like this how can people do this to horses that are so beautiful and so innocent it's horrible but you know what I'm so grateful he's people are doing what they're doing God bless them in every every way. You girls keep going you guys keep showing men what men are supposed to be like. You all are capable strong and amazing and I just love you so much and I'm praying for you everyday the promise to keep it up. I'm starting a nonprofit Therapy Program for people who have been abused battered wives in molested children with my three horses and Donkey that I rescued myself and rehabs and I just have to tell you this rewarding life is hard but it's worth it don't stop please just keep going. I really respect to work you're doing thank you so much for every episode even though it is hard to watch sometimes. God bless your socks off

But he sees the ones of us who care and he sees what we're doing and how much we try and he doesn't miss a single thing. God Is Watching but he doesn't miss anything that's the good news and... When I get blessed I know why because I'm helping people and horses together he'll 2. It's a beautiful thing to do no matter how hard it is it's worth it every single day and it's starting to get around the therapeutic programs are starting to get attention. Even even our Electric Cooperative has it on the front of their magazine this month how horses heal people and it's beautiful because they're finally getting the recognition that they need as majestic creatures that do a lot of good if you just let them and just listen to them and be gentle back. I got one of my horses it was being sold to a price of his meat. His name is frolicon home and his owner trainer was this guy named Dale who had him raised 63 times to the point where his lungs burst and he's got no voice but I'm happy to tell you that God intervened and told me don't ride him let him be let him be. And he's a happy horse now he doesn't even need to be ridden he doesn't have to perform none of them do they just have to be themselves. It's so funny now they'll even bring a stick while I'm riding a different horse just messing around bareback for no reason because I don't really ride much just for exercise for them stimulation it's funny cuz another horse will bring up a stick in his mouth just carrying a stick or a piece of log just as like a gift like can I be next it's hilarious

I'm starting a program called My Horse buddy Incorporated in Virginia and it's supposed to be just a buddy program but really what the truth is is Ben it's the most unassuming and I could find and think of that doesn't spell out exactly what it is that the horse buddy is going to be hearing. A lot of times it's abuse victims molestation victims and battered women and better children. That's why opportunity to get them help and teach them to the word know is beautiful. Having first-hand experience since I was a child abuse by a babysitter and boys in the neighborhood after that and then 26 years being abused by my husband I understand so much about it that sometimes we play a game and we see how loud we can say the word no! I tell these kids I love the word no because it saved my life it also protected me for my buddies who really care about me and they're bigger and their love is bigger and their heart is bigger for me and they have a better personality and a better view point of who I really am it's awesome to be there buddy and to protect myself for them. If they think I'm worth it then they're right because they're bigger and they win LOL. It's one way to tell the children and the people just in a fun way the horse is bigger he wins it's his word versus somebody else's!

How cowardly to condemn the poor animals to further pain. Thank you for doing the hard and emotionally draining work you do. Have sooo much respect for EVERYTHING you guys do, but special props to your trainer! She's so chill & calm about just hopping on all these nervous horses that she has absolutely NOOOO CLUE what kind of "under saddle history" they even might or might NOT have, and she readily works with & hops on them all pretty much equally... That's pretty amazing! She has such a great demeanor about her, she's awesome!

I know right they're so responsible and well-trained. But my favourite out of those two would have to be the fact that they euthanize the horses that are suffering because a lot of people who rescue horses know that they're in pain but don't want to put them down because they feel like they can help because I mean like who wouldn't like you just bought a horse you love it to death you want to try and save it but sometimes euthanizing is the best option. I'm glad that they know when it's time and that they don't say we can save this horsewhen it's beyond saving like they know when its time.

I'm glad you are able to see the euthanasia as a positive. Because it is. I accidentally once saw a video of horses at slaughter and it is terrifying for them. I've watched several of your videos. It's beautiful work you do. Truly you are making a difference. I used to work on the race track many years ago. There truly is no glamorous side to that industry. This year I decided that I would adopt (it was a rescue make no mistake) an OTTB. This mare would either have gone on to a slaughter facility or to another abusive home. She has severe trailering issues and I wound up having to sedate and use a mustang shoot to load her to get her home. I knew when I saw her ad on CL that she was the one. I did her lineage and her family tree goes back to some of the most famous race horses in the world. It is sad that there is so much over breeding just to get that one stakes winner. I hope one day people begin to see the true horrors about the reality of horse racing. The ones who are no longer useful generally go to slaughter. Liberty is what I named her and she has landed with an experienced horse person who sees her value. Thank you for saving so many lives and for giving the ones who must cross the rainbow bridge dignity and knowing peace and love. There needs to be more people like you and your staff.

Thank you so much for what you are doing for these horses, donkeys and others. With regards to euthanasia, I just wanted to share a perspective from a person with chronic illness, because I'm sure it's so painful to be putting down these animals, and something other people can't understand or accept you doing. I have chronic illness. I've been in a lot of pain. I'm doing really well, very optimistic for the future, things are getting better (yay modern medicine!) but I know what it is like to have no quality of life. I know what it is to wonder about when you will or can die, and how. I know what it is to look at the suffering you have to go through before you can pass. It's really not fun. So if you can prevent suffering, and give a good death, a painless death, sometimes that really is the kindest thing you can do. It's horrible, and I wish every living being got to experience joy, but sometimes eliminating suffering is all that can be done.

I've been watching for a while, and made my first donation today. I wish I could do more, I'm sure we all do, and on that note I was wondering why you guys don't have sponsorship? Or maybe you do, just not with ads? I wouldn't mind waiting out commercials if it meant more horses could be rescued! I LOVE you guys, all of you! You all work so hard and endure so much pain to change these horses lives for the better. I hope someday I can get involved "hands on" but until then I will continue to share you're channel and spread the the word. Thank you all for everything you do!

Horrible how these horses were treated at that auction. Isn't there animal police or something to fine the owner doing this to the animals? They're skinny, sick, beated. There's no way that would be allowed here, especially at an auction. Also branding is forbidden here for around 15 years already. I'm so happy you save them though.

How often do you scan a horse with a microchip? Does the sale barn scan for microchips also? Have you ever found the owner for a chipped horse? Fabulous job you are all doing

So good that you put those animals to sleep that are in cronic pain and can not be saved, it is the only right thing to do and the original owners ought to have done their duty to. Strange you have to explain it so much, if you respect animals you will understand it..

Wow awesome work! But how does it work to give oral meds when the pony is lying down and totally out of it? It can’t swallow or? Would it not risk going into the lungs?

If a human can't stand on their legs without pain, they have a lot of options to avoid having to do that. Even for a dog or cat, provided the pain's under reasonable control, lots of elderly arthritic pets have happy sunset years lying around a house being spoiled. But a horse *has* to spend the majority of its time standing. It's a myth that they can't lie down but they only lie down for short periods. So it might seem like a bad leg is a small thing to put a horse down over but sound legs are really important for a horse.
