    Where did u get your whip from? I have been looking for one like that but longe whips have a longer lash that is between 6-7ft long. The closest I have found is a stock whip but those have a popper at the end.

    What do i do if my horse is aggressive with other horses?

  • @EquineHelper

    @EquineHelper

    3 жыл бұрын

    Horses can be naturally more aggressive towards each other since they are herd animals and have a hierarchy within their group. If your horse gets aggressive towards other horses at feeding time and chases them away from their food, the best thing to probably do is separate your horse from them when it’s time to eat or feed him further down the fence line where he won’t feel as threatened by the other horses

    I wish these types of videos were available when I was a teen... so many years ago 🤣 my filly used to be aggressive with food towards our poor old racehorse.. mind you, he being over 16hh and her being about 14-15hh 😂 she was a bossy little B

    Why do they always look annoyed when you go to feed them? If that makes sense.....

  • @georgette0807

    @georgette0807

    3 жыл бұрын

    Not all of them are. But I dont understand what you mean by annoyed. They can defiently get stubborn or look mad. But, horses live their food so they dont want a other horse to touch or a person to touch it. I have learned from my mare horses can get a little annoyed when your standing there watching them. Or you go out to get them during feeding time.

    @@georgette0807: Yeah I just noticed they tend to put their ears back when food is coming but since you said that they don't want other horses touching their food, I can see that being an innate reaction. I hope I'm making sense lol

    That's cool if you have a horse that's not actually evil and demonic My horse as soon as he sees even an empty bowl being picked up or moved or you going towards one he'd instantly already there to hurt you and that's not all when you try to groundwork him or anything of the short he will actually go after you I try to recalter and he just was able to get out of it he is 2 years old he just became that in January at the end of January like January 28th he became 2 years old I know he's still a baby gilding and he's still growing but he's at the age where you're supposed to be able to start training and I did some training at my mom doesn't train as he was younger You know the training you're supposed to do is younger horses when they're like you know like a foal or a weenling horse I tried everything practically I usually bought them up with no whips or anything but people were bringing whips to them and hurting him and whipping him behind my back so now I'm faced with a damaged horse he dick it gilded in November 30th last year but he became so much calmer and started wanting to learn and now he's back to ground zero he's a funny thing is I get thrust out on him and doesn't care I can act like I'm going to jump on them and he doesn't care he just wants what he wants and he wants to be aggressive it could even be a retreat but the problem and now is he had three horses trying to kick his butt inside out one of them's his mom and that's because he disrespectful and doesn't care he doesn't care who's the leader is and you know there's another horses I heard that think that too she's like I don't care who the leader is when they're both like winning foods around we're going to hurt everybody humans and horses and my horses mother is the lead mare 😅 his mom did a lot of crap that I asked her to do I could say walk trot canter at one point able to say that to him without taking him for a ride He's not going to be ridden until he's actually 4 to 5 years old but he's getting trained to be ready but if you have any tips on what to do when you have a horse like him I'm open-minded

    I just hope that people who owns horses see this video that they will understand that you are not harming yours because there are some ignorant people out in the world who do harm their horses to make them behave and that's wrong because it's considered animal abuse. I have a question? I live on a farm and we have five horses and I spoil them with treats but they are not trained. My question is when it comes to feeding them how can I keep another horse away from the other horse while she is eating her food. In other words how can I keep a horse from going into the pen and taking the other horse's food or eating the other horses food when that one horse did not get enough of its food because another horse came in behind her and start eating it? How can I prevent that from happening because it does happen a lot on our farm. And when one horse goes into the pen to steal the other horses food they end up trying to kick each other and whinnying. ☹️ And when it comes to horses I honestly do not like violence. I want them all to get along with each other but they have a tendency to steal each other's food. And as a result when that one horse was eating her food she did not get enough because the other one came in right behind her to steal it. How can I stop that?

    If a horse is pushy and or aggressive at feeding time, that horse does not view the person that feeds as the leader of the 'herd'. That needs to be taken care of right away. Show dominance by moving the horse's feet, changing the horse's direction, etc.
