is the hall sensor quick connect bigger than the 500watt version? i have a 500 watt version and was wondering if you need a special ext to connect it to the exsisting harness from controller

750w uses the large BAFANG 'big 9' type connector. 250w uses JULET 9 pin waterproof connector. Not sure about the 500w one. Adapters might be available!

It looks like somebody did that stupid idea where they inject their 750W motor with something like mineral oil to "help' with cooling. The problem is these things aren't air tight so all that crap almost immediately all leaks out and creates a nice sticky surface for any sort of dirt and grime to stick to

This might prevent from this/make it easier: - Open new motor, grease it, put rust protection color on it - Check that thru cable no water is coming inside motor - Buy a second motor, so you can replace later what's needed

Help!!! My electric bicycle started displaying error 24, all the wiring is well connected and in perfect condition. When im activate the accelerator the engine only turns a couple of times, and makes a small noise. My engine no longer works? It only has 1500 miles.

Sounds like perhaps a halls sensor problem - error codes are manufacture specific... Are you local?

3 leg puller is usually needed for that one bud - available on Amazon/local hardware store. You can lever it off with 2 screwdrivers, but are likely to damage/scratch things!

@@EbikeRepairs I was able to get it off but it looks like the inside of the motor is completely seized up. The bike fell into salt water at the beach. It was a quick dip but it looks like that's all it took. I guess I'll be shopping for a new motor.

Good stuff but how would You go about without slide hammer puller? Could I just whack them bearings from behind since there´s space between? I have a similar motor and plan to service it. How tight do You pull them screws in the flange that holds the cassette sprocket, I always like to use a torque wrench. Can You put a number on that? Yeah, it ain´t rocket science but I very much like my torque numbers as I HATE extracting broken bolts. So I better not tear them in the first place. Thank You Buddy, keep the good stuff coming, I just have a tiny shop in an attic but try to estabilsh myself as backyard mechanic by watching stuff like this and trying it out on my own devices first before I advertise like a brake service. It really is fun to me and the happy smiles I get when a job is well done makes it all worthwhile.

Hiya thanks for the nice feedback! Whack them out! Removal is removal... Just don't damage the bearing surface of the motor. Torque wise, there's no official torque spec, but 10-15nm should do fine, they really don't need to be insanely tight, they're only m4 size bolts. And the design is weak at the shoulder and head can snap off. Good luck!
