Great episode, Sam is too funny, his spots on the east coast pods are classic
Sam is easily one of my favorite people that I’ve stumbled upon the past two years, not just stand ups. He deserves all the success.

“What a ghoulish time for a plug” is one of the funniest and most heartfelt moments of any interview ever. Big fan Sam! Thanks for sharing your story!
Sam is such a special guest - I've watched his AYG eps multiple times they are gold!

Accidently watched this at the hospital while waiting for my mom to have a spinal tap after her stroke. Haha cried and laughed in my car. Thanks you gents for a lil levity, this is why I keep coming back to the Honey Dew ya'll. Keep them night pants high and tight.
I had to come to KZread to leave a comment about how much Sam’s story affected me. I’m over here crying listening tell his fathers character arc and it was devasting hearing about his mother’s loss of independence and the anger she felt towards herself. Wow i mean this was amazing thank you Ryan and Sam you’re the fucking man.
Yo Sam felt so real in this one. Ryan is such a great host.

Sam and Soder are two comics who are doing great but should be SO much bigger for how funny and genuine they are
Sam Tallent is one of them dudes that i never heard of and then all of a sudden hes doing the rounds and i cant get enough of the guy.
Wow, what a story. Big respect to Sam for his appearance.
The dumb thing I miss about drinking was I would prep sh!t for my future sober self, didn't always work out. But when I woke up the next day and all my batteries are charged in all the devices and controllers I own and coffee was made, it was pretty sweet. 3 days later when a single 4 inch stainless steel ballbearing(yes singular) shows up in an Amazon package, and you vaguely recall thinking your gonna bankrupt Amazon by buying heavy stuff that's cheap bc they have to be losing money on shipping, yeah Alcohol 😅
love Sam Tallent. Have this man on as regular as Uncle Joey. I can listen to him forever.
I'm 5 seconds in and I know this is all ready going to be an amazing episode
This episode couldn’t have come at a better time for me to be able to just hear people overcoming and getting thru trauma and talking about it so openly means the world to us listeners.
What an absolute champion in Sam Tallent. It was super emotional listening to his story. You could never talk too much on The Honeydew, its the place for the heavy and the low to be lifted high and given levity. Ryan as always just nudging and opening the door for your guest to have time and space to explain their story. No one does it like Sickler. #FTCF *****
Sams pain was so palpable thru his jokes. He will forever be GOAT. What an amazing man
Love Sam and his book Running the light. Excited to hear his low lights. Have a great Tuusday. Today was my daughter's first day of Kindergarten!

27:10 'Kid, you leveled up! You just won the lottery!!' 😂🤣💀
This was one of the most genuine episodes I've seen. It really captures the essence of how complex grief is and how it can shape you.
Love me some Sam Tallent. One of the most underrated dudes in the scene. Cried, laughed, cried some more, and can't wait to see Sam in KC, MO. Thanks for this episode, Ryan. One of my favorite podcast episodes ever.
What a beautiful, funny, heart felt episode. Sam is such a special tallent - pun intended. Can’t wait to see him live. :) pls come to Canada.
Sam, you're such a fantastic human being. Thank you for being you.
Sam had me in tears of laughter and sorrow , real dude , lifetime fan
Sam is a great guest 🔥
Y’all why isn’t the honeydew the top pod? Ryan is the best interviewer/professional listener. Also, his laugh brings dead puppies back to life!!!! Get it together and build this man up ❤
Loved him. And he gets bonus points for pronouncing Louisville correctly. ❤
43:40 god Sammy is such a pure soul, this chuckle crushed me
I laughed / I cried - welcome to the honeydew y’all ❤
Ryan you're a true inspiration!!! Thank you for everything you do for us listeners!!!
I never heard of Sam until I saw Tim Dillon on tour and he was opening. Criminally underrated comedian.
I can't believe I've never seen or heard of Sam before, this guy's great! Thank you for everything Ryan, you make the BEST content.
"I don't want to work at the bank anymore, I want to be a teacher" Talk about taking a pay cut lmao
So stoked on this! Anything coming from Sam Tallent is choice 👌
This is the best podcast out hands down👏🏽
Wow, set looks super! Great guest, thanks for so much engaging and entertaining content.
I just started reading his book 2 days ago, and it’s so good. Its a nice surprise to get him on the dew. Definitely a new fan of Sam ❤
Man.. Who’s cutting onions here? Sam can express himself so eloquently and make you feel all the emotions. Everyone, please read “Running the Light”, his book is great too.
I'm from Castle Rock Colorado I've seen this guy a few times out here. Love his comedy and I'm glad to see him on here. Get Ben Roy next trust me!!
This episode made me bawl, it hit so close to home. My mom had a stroke about 3 years ago and she sounds a lot like Sam’s mom. I know how heartbreaking it can be to see your mom who did everything for everyone have to rely on the rest of us. ❤
I love Sam more every time I hear him on a pod. Another great HD ep!
Two of my favorites! Love it!
Consistently good podcast. Of all the podcast I’ve started and watch this one I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of.

Damn, I started tearing up and then laughing the second, MULTIPLE TIMES. Love Ryan Sickler and Sam! ❤️ what a good pod to listen to on a Friday. Keep killing it guys❤️❤️
when I'm starched on weed I rarely get panic attacks but if something major happens with friends or family negatively I hyper focus on it, so I get that 100%. I have neuropathy in my feet from diabetes, so I'm pretty much a daily smoker, but when that happens I'll just hit it light for relief.
Sam is legend, thought Sickler had a Roland 808 sweater
I'm glad you plugged your free special on Amazon while talking about your mother's death Sam, otherwise I wouldn't have known it was available. Judging by how the rest of the story went it killed!
Part 2 now!! There is so much more to hear!
Sam Tallent is a god damn American legend. Love you Sam.
I love Sam so much. I discovered him on AYG and Dr Drew after Dark. I'm sad it took me so long to find him, but it gives you a bunch to catch up on.
Sam is such a genuine guy. I've been able to meet a few of my favorite comics and Sam was by far the most gracious and friendly, even though i ran into him in the bathroom
Thank you brothers
I’m not crying, you’re crying! ❤
Ghoulish time for a plug fucking got me haha. Sam rules.
You’re the man Sam very well spoken and great stories. Great EP
Mom was a hairdresser. Was in recovery and began to walk again. Didnt drain her head right had to go in two more times. Permanently paralyzed. Before that dad yelled and threw her on the ground thinking she had OD'd. Took our phones away so we couldnt call 911. No senior year, no 18th bday celebration, marine EMT grandpa passed from the stress, dad still throws her around but gets credited as an angel and savior. I sacrificed my 20's going back and forth to work and school and taking care of her cuz asshole dad worked and brother bailed by falling asleep in a cow and getting her prego. Gave up a full ride to Baylor cuz I couldnt leave her with my monster of a dad. Eh now im gonna try my shot at nursing to see if I can help some other folks out going through stupid shit like that
Great guest Ryan..love you're show thanks man 👊
Love Sam, super intelligent and hilarious guy *what an incredible story, it's nice to see this insight into Sam's personal life. I mostly know him from Are You Garbage and it's really great to hear more on his background
so happy to see sam on he is the BEST!!!!
So excited for the new place, respect for the grind man💯❤️
The more I see of Sam the more I like him.
e: My god, I was not prepared for how sad this episode was. ooof. respectfully, Dude, sam talent is legit in my number 1 spot for the funniest comedian alive today. He is just naturally hilarious. The way his brain works is so funny to me. Sickler is a hilarious and seems like a genuinely good dude too. Great cast. Love the 2 of them! ❤️
Omgats...... Sam Tallent! I felt your story ❤

Saw sam on MSSP when his book came out wnr the episode was great. Never thought twice about him and a later episode shane said it was actually a really good book written well. Never thought about him again after that. Then this came up, and I have to say this is such a good episode. I'll habe to look into his special after this. Thanks for what you do sickle cell, keep up the good work.

Love your book, Sam!
Sam is easily the best comic around people are just getting to know him now. I wish i could witness his greatness for the first time again.
Sam T nation for life! We aren’t Lund guys! Chubby chaser till I die!
Wow this is the first pocast I've heard with Sam where he talks about his Dad. Such fun stories. Cool that Ryan asked him about childhood.

Sweet setup, Ryan!
This is a great episode. ❤
The more I listen to Sam the more I relate to his level of silliness and, not related to myself, realize how so intelligent he is. There aren't many stand-ups that have such a clever way with words.
sam is such an amazing dude.
"What ghoulish time for a plug" 😂😂😂😂
Is there anyone better than Sam? The best
Literally anything with Sam Tallent
Please have him on again!
The new studio looks so good!!!
Sam is the best, fantastic episode. Honey Dew starting off the new studio right.
48:00 i went from tears in my eyes to doubled over laughing in an instant
I love this one! A+.
If Sam comes to your town or anywhere near you, GO SEE HIM! Best live comedian I’ve seen maybe ever
Love this podcast!
Sam you are so great. I’m sorry about your mom.
Happy TEWzdee y'all!
Been waiting for this one ❤
What a sweet soul Sam is. Damn man.
Love Sam; and Ryan and the Honey Dew were a perfect combination.
Please reschedule your Omaha show Ryan! You’ve been one of my favorites for years now and I was so bummed when it got canceled. Wishing you continued good health, glad you’re doing better!
Shout out Sam great as always.
Fav pod out there ❤❤
