Im really sorry for your loss. This week , within a few days, three people within my social group committed suicide. Very hard years coming out of covid too. Stay strong. Keep busy. Make sure you have people to chat with. 🙏👍
One of the best interviewers ever
Thank you, Jim. I used that information to start reaching out for help.

Good luck 👍
I was waiting for Jim to be on the podcast because he is one of the best story tellers ever and he has countless insane and funny stories. He had talked about her in short in his podcast, but I did not think this episode would be about this story. You have to have Jim on again soon if possible, because he is full of stories made for the HoneyDew.
I’ve known of Jim through that Metal show for years. I never knew this life experience of his. Unbelievable Honey Dew episode.
Jimmy Florentine is always spoken of as a really great guy, this substantiates those sentiments. This was an awesome episode of the 'dew!

As Florentine would say “da dew”
Absolutely stellar episode !!!!! Have to thank him for being so extremely open about this
This episode was full of things I didn't want too hear, but it's what I needed to know. All I can say is, thanks.
I've gotten that voicemail. I still have it 7 years later. It still makes me cry every time. She was only 19. I'm only 27 and I almost can't count the number of people I know who have been lost to suicide on both hands. Life is so fucking unfair. Always check on people, even if you aren't that close. Sometimes they need someone they aren't close to.
Really appreciate you Ryan. You’re the man. Bless your heart dude.
Thanks Ryan for having Jim on, been a big fan if his since the Howard stern days and when Artie had his 1st podcast with Nick Dipalo. Your podcast is so good with showing people they can come out the other side of their lowlights. With Jim being on the East Coast and their time restraints when those guys come to LA, it's impossible to hit all the podcasts. But his story is so important to hear with today's societal traumas it was necessary. I am so thankful it was able to happen.
This is a great episode. Helped me feel better about life.
this episode of the honey dew is why this is the best podcast on YT,so heartfelt,so real, much love to Jim and Ryan, been with you from ep 1,and will always stick with you bro..much love from New Zealand kia kaha
My cousin hung himself when I was 9 I saw him get carried out with rope marks on him. Me and my mother found my stepdad in the kitchen dead happened just like Jim's story where him mom woke him up about his Dad. Lotta good tears this episode. I'm also celebrating three years sober my sober date is my friend Taylors birthday she died three years ago on her bday she would have been 25 I threw me drugs out and have been fighting demons and depression ever since.
Ryan the world needs to know William Montgomery's life story. Ryan's expressive laugh and Williams manic energy. The world 🌎 needs this.

I 1million% agree with yah🤙🏽
💜💜 This is such a great episode. I have dealt with too much suicide. I agree completely with what is being said about approaching a suicidal person. I just want to add that the thought process of that person is going to be an accumulation of traumas, not one break up or one job loss. It's never one thing. It's the fact that they could never heal before the next thing came along. So, that is why they only hear negative when someone says, "Why would you do that? People care about you. You will put them through pain. That is such a selfish thing to say." When someone has been white knuckling it since they were born, and had they're hand kicked everytime they reached for help, it's almost impossible to ask for help, or even see it's there. You guys are awesome though. 😘💜
what a crossover!!! this pod never disappoints :)
Sickler live is amazing. Saw him when he came to Chicago last week. I’m a fan for life. Awesome guy too
Thanks jim I really needed that man
Still love that first Terrorizing Telemarketers CD. I bought it when It first came out. "5 cents! Yayyyy!" Such a classic.
Jim is always the man, you guys are great together.
great podcast, that was a serious but good story on Jim's side.
Jim is just a plain old good Dude. Raised right. My Son and I had the opportunity to meet him after a show. He’s such a nice guy. Took the time to chat with us and not rush us out the door. Type of guy who you would love to Hang out with👍
Great conversation. Always the best stores on the DEW. 🙂
Awesome pod Ryan! Absolutely LOVE Jim!!!! What a great story teller and a naturally hilarious guy. I cannot understand why he doesn't get the notoriety that he deserves. Not that he isn't beloved, but he should be HUGE! Maybe a Metal Show re-boot? Great stuff Ryan! You're the best!!! ~S
Great episode. Jim is awesome!
I am already excited for Jim to come back, great episode❤
I wasn't expecting this subject matter at all, surprisingly interesting. Subscribed 👍
"permanent solution for a *temporary* problem" is what Jim meant to say
Thanks. Jim, for sharing I learned alot
Jim , thank you for sharing man It does get easier with time i think about my person all the time Mental health is everything 💓
My pops took his own life in 2014. This episode was great.
These are so good for the soul
When I saw the thumbnail, I ignored it at first. Then, I told myself to keep an open mind. I'm glad I did. Great episode. Your show reminds me of one of my favorite quotes. It comes from Philo of Alexandria, who lived from 20 BC to 50 AD. "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a great battle." Thanks, Ryan. Thanks, Jim.
What an amazing episode. Very powerful stuff
❤ Thank you Jim, Thank you Ryan.
Jim still prank calls people 🤣, if you can't recognize his voice I don't feel sorry for you. Crankyankers was one of my favorites. Another banger of an episode Ryan, thank you 😊 🙏.

He said " I'm surprised she didn't take a raft home" 🤣🤣🤣
"NOW I GOTTA BUY MORE GROCERIES" CLASSIC
Owe a lot of deep belly laughs to Jim over the years.. 🤘🤘 Thank you sir.
This one hit hard.
VH1 CLASSIC and that metal show was essential to my youth
Great episode.
not gonna lie. i got choked up during this interview. I met Jim almost 10 years ago at a 'That Metal Show' event in Philly and he was a cool guy but never saw him like this. heartbreaking.
God love you both!!! Thank you fellas!!!
This is one of the many GREAT INTERVIEW / PODCAST.....
Very very happy to see Jim on here
Jim’s a legend...now I understand why Coco luv’s him so much. Stay solid Sickler🤙🏽
Jim on the Church are classic episodes.
I can't listen to HD at work anymore. Shits tooooo real. Got me in my feelings. I love ya Sickler. And my fellow low-lifes. But I can't handle this real life content for too long before I feel like going home and laying down.
Ending my tooooosdeee with a little HONEYDEW. Great episode.
Not as upbeat of an interview as Florentine talking about shitting 10 times in someones car that was left at a job site, or shitting in a shopping bag and hiding it in a crawlspace but wow what a class act!
EPIC. They won't make 'em like Florentine anymore. Thanks bud
Jim's special is really funny!

Just got off work as a carpenter and I've been listening to Jim on Ozzy's boneyard all day my favorite day of the week and then he ends up on my favorite Podcast what A-day. Then to top it off The 1st thing they start talking about is something I'm struggling with
What's up beautiful people of the night pants nation! I hope all is well and everyone knows that they are loved!
Jim’s a good dude. Love to see him here and with uncle Joey.
Another solid show. Tuesday staple
I thought the worst Jim Florentine story I had heard was about his parents letting a kid diddler sleepover and Jim getting diddled. That changed today. God Bless you Jim Florentine 🙏
Florentine is the funniest dry humor mind/comic today
F*** trigger warnings you're never going to heal if you don't talk or listen about it
Happy Toosdeee ya'll ❤️
was hoping to hear his other story too about the mom of his kids who was having the affair with the cop...this was great too..hope we can get both!
I really enjoy honey dew, lately been some really heavy duty stories about death and life destruction, dont forget to change it up Ryan. 6 days later, I might had a few beers, when originally wrote, I enjoy your show and style, many, many interesting times listening.. no malicious intentions... I love good North East comedy so much, people have lives off the stage too, I ultimately know that's the point, a good one, hope I kinda explained myself best I could... everyone not going to love everything all the time. With me your hitting way more than occasional miss. Do your thing Brother. Much respect

Thank you for spreading awarness
Jim Florentine always has hilarious stories, can't wait for this one!
Woah. Great episode
Robin and Jim are adorable together.
Wish you would come to Oklahoma!
Everything I know about Jimmy comes from the Stern show, will give this a watch.
God damn I love this podcast! I saw my best friend a real brother to me kill himself using a gun 6 years ago (7 soon) and this honestly still helped me! Also the chick he had on a long time ago with herpes was a big help I got it around the same time and was devastated until I heard the podcast!!
Bmore in the house!
Fuck me that broke me listening to what happened to you guys. I know I'm a stranger but my heart goes out to you.
WELCOME BACK TO THE HONEYDEW YALL
I lost my mom to suicide in 2018. When he said he felt a rush or some sort of feeling before he checked his phone, I experienced the same thing the morning it happened for me.
Zanies at Rosemont was Tremendous!!
Hello hello from Des Moines Iowa
Ayyy would love to see you at the stl funnybone
Used to enjoy that metal show, fun to watch back in the teenage days. Nice when he’s on here and Joey Diaz. That was some heavy stuff. I lost my dad in a similar way at 22, it fucked me up bad 28 now.
Holy shit, I wasn’t looking at my screen and I thought he had Sam Morrell on the pod today.
Heartbreaking 😢
Best episode in a min. Definitely miss Headbangers ball!…
A long time coming……still need to hear big jay and Stanhope on the honeydew
you know, Ryan, i dont subscribe to a lot of channels because typically i see most updates in my recommended feed. but i subscribed to yours because its REALLY hard to find much of your stand up on the internet lol. i do love listening to these podcasts n what not as well, and man do these get crazy P.S. your laugh always makes me smile, dont listen to the haters man the point when Jim starts to break down depression a little and things you cant say to people with it. ive NEVER understood it myself, people have always told me "think of this" and it honestly is just like yeah, but why does it matter? all the stuff going through your head from depression completely shifts how u see that and rationalize it. tharepy has seen HUGE improvements over the years and even though i avoid it i know i shouldnt. i reccomend ANYONE struggling to find a tharepist you dont feel insecure with, these people are trained and educated to break this stuff down and help. and if you feel they dont care you can keep moving around til you land someone who finds the right angle to reach you. these people arent employed in this field for fun, think of the shit they have to listen to, Ryan jokes it up some but even without a degree he sits here with these people and sees them through these stories and just watching he legit looks like he cares n sometimes even thats all you need.
But in all seriousness dude keep your head up and keep pushing. You're surely a nice guy and I'm sure you helped her a lot
Heavy, but great episode.
No one should have to feel like that. Just sad
Lost my 30yr old son 10 months ago and I hope every night that I don't wake up
