I agree..telling the truth is always the better choice. If I were in Ellen’s shoes, I would first tell Sheila to come clean with Marvin and make it clear to her that if she has not done so, I will let Marvin know. He deserves to know even if it can hurt him, because tough love comes with strong friendship.
