I've heard this story before... and I totally agree with you pastor Joe, it's easy to say that she has to sacrifice her lovelife to obey her family's wishes but I guess choosing is not easy when the family who just I must say, really was after her well being thinking that someday ,[sorry for the word] her boyfriend might end up a leech depending all his and their future family on her. But she knows better she's actually a doctor and has a good sense of character judgement and after all the criticisms and belittling her bf received from her family he stayed showed how he really loves her anyway.. If she'd stay with him and marry him someday, I don't think they will end up poor [but not as abundantly rich as her parents want her to have anyway] but who cares? As long as they live happy and decently, can buy all needs with some wants, that is one piece heaven on earth for me. I hope there is a follow up story about this and I hope they end up together and her parents learned to love and accept her husband [if ever] as their own to date. I hope I state it right Joe it whirls in the brain

I agree with your advice Joe. If parents really love their child, they will sacrifice their own intentions and honour their children’s decision especially if these are well thought of and sincere. While parents may want the best for their children, there is a fine line between protecting them and controlling them. May our good Lord effect a change of heart but if that doesn’t happen, just do the right thing and follow your heart if you think that is God’s will for you both. God bless.

You're already at the right age to know what makes you happy. You have to live your life for you and if you ever encounter difficulties, as an adult you should be the one to fix it. Parents can only point their kids to the right direction but should never control their children's choices and decisions in life especially when they are already adults. They have equipped you with everything you'll need to get a good start in your adult life. What you will do with it is entirely up to you....Pray that everything will turn out alright and ask for God's guidance to lead you to the right path.
