One episode involed him saving a orphan boy. It was to imply he would had raised the boy as his own but there’s laws and his mission as Spider-Man would endanger the boy. By today’s standards the dialogue is easily to mess with out of context.

That show actually looks quite cool, the story and themes are interesting and it looks campy on a good way. I smiled checking the footage. Takuya seems to dig into the character, pimp slaps are spot on and the emissary of hell catchphrase is badass.

There recently was a What If Comic about Peter becoming the Punisher. Look it up!

This show introduces the world to the concept of Henshin (instant transformation, much better than nanotech trust me), and also inspired Sentais/Power Rangers to have big Robots, Kamen Riders to have vehicles and based on insects fighting a crime organization, and also was the reason Transformer and Big Hero 6 were created. A true Legend.

actually, Kamen Rider started the concept of henshin. Supaidaman came out in 1978 while Kamen Rider came out in 1971 and KR is already really big during Supaidaman's run.

There's been darker ones too. Kamen Rider Kuuga especially. The number of murder, beheading, trauma, revenge, suicides. God... And I was a kid back then too. In just the first episode about more than 30 people murdered. MURDERED. Not died by collision or disaster. But murdered.

The Erricane Hm, dunno why I never caught on to that before. Probably because I was too busy admiring the darling face of Odagiri Joe. Kuuga is my all-time favourite Kamen Rider!

@@barbarajoseph-adam8337 Mine too. It was the first series that I've seen and made me a fan today. Just rewatch it and you'll realize it. The darkest episode is where the Porcupine Grongi debut.

I love Honest Trailers, cause literally ALL of their videos have an immesurable replay value.

There’s a good reason that Japanese Spider-Man is basically Power Rangers. The success of this series led Toei to develop a Captain America series, which gradually evolved during development into Battle Fever J, the very first proper series of Super Sentai, the show that would be eventually adapted into Power Rangers. Basically, Japanese Spider-Man is Power Rangers’ weird uncle.

I just love how Marvel Studios has canonized the Multiverse for their live-action adaptations (and in the comic, Japanese Spider-Man actually has returned). That means that THIS show DID happen in their grand scheme of things and wasn't just some fun take by the Japanese. Leopardon is still out there in the Multiverse, lmao.

Man! I can’t wait to see this version of Spider-Man appear in Into the Spider-Verse 2!
