Great review, you guys are the best at showing everything we need to see to book a vacation. Can't wait to vacation here for a week. It's a little similar to the Barcelo Grand Resort in Mexico. I got the Panoramic Suite for end of sept 😁

Omg congratulations for making this video so complete and clear about this resort. I had seen other videos, but with everything you show and explain, it is very possible that I will make the decision to book this hotel for October. Thank you for your honest review, excellent video that does not leave out anything I wanted to know.

We stayed at this resort a few years ago and we had an amazing experience. The food was great, my husband and I loved the rooms so much we wanted to build a replica as our master room. We are definitely going back.

We were there same time as you on a family trip, great video, unfortunately you did not get a good room. We stayed in a Golf Room, very clean no issues at all.

Thank you for this informative review! Were all of the restaurants/bars included in the stay price such as the rum and cigars bar, the striker's sports bar or the hoyo 19 restaurant? It seems that certain amenities have additional costs but do any of the bars or restaurants cost extra?

Hola, Alexus :) all the restaurants and bars we mentioned in the video are included except for the French one. 🙂

5:02 The Adults section was built in 2001 Bavaro Beach, which is the oldest resort in Punta Cana. The palace was built in 2012, but yeah. The rooms you had those are ran down. The other rooms are well maintained, another good video!

@@NittyGrittyTravelers Junior Suites (near frog adult pool at palace), Standard rooms (Family near golf) are in better condition. The ones you had, they fill them up frequently. They are always occupied, so would explain why they are in bad shape. In other words, in low season. They usually put guest in those rooms

Hi! Does it have animals or birds roaming around like the other resorts?

So glad you told us about smoking , we hate it and the thought of smoking in the coffee shop has put us off 😢

What about handicapped accessibility? We would need handicapped scooters, as we both have problems walking and going up & down steps. What about handicapped accessible pools?

Hola Sid :) Not having any disabilities ourselves it's hard for us to give accurate advice since we didn't experience the hotel from that vantage point. What we can say is that the rooms buildings have elevators. We also know there is a company that rents scooters and delver them to your hotel, their website is handicaptravelersdr.com/ . The only hotel where we've definitely seen ramps in the pools is the Riu Republica. I hope this helps! :)

Hola! The nearest bar to the beach is close to the main pool, it is not far, but they usually have waiters in the beach area to take your drink orders, so you don't have to go to the bars yourself ;)

We don’t know for sure but resorts usually have all the equipment for use in the sports facilities (e.g. tennis racquets, basketballs, soccer balls, etc.)

Can I ask what you did with your luggage after u checked in while waiting for your room to be ready? And was the room ready before 3? Thanks!!

They store it for you and give you a ticket to retrieve it. We just take our most valuable things (laptop, wallets, etc.) on a backpack with us. I don't specifically remember if the room was ready before 3PM but we've visited many Punta Cana hotels and I'd say the ones where the room was ready before check-in time were about 10% so come prepared to wait until 3PM (I'd pack my swimsuit and sandals, sunscreen, etc. in the backpack you'll take with you so you can enjoy the pools/beach while you wait)

We are going here in April 2024, 4 adults and 7 children. I am wondering, do you know if there is an option to upgrade to a premium room, and should we organize that before travel or wait till check in? Also, we have 2 vegans in our group....in your opinion, will the food options suffice? Thank you, i enjoy your videos very much❤

They have a program called MyBarcelo which you can google to see if they have any points transfer with other programs. You do get points on their program if you book direct and you’re enrolled 🙂

Is this a good resort to go with teen girls who like snorkeling and water activities

Hola! Yes, you might encounter beach vendors in most Punta Cana beaches except for the Cap Cana and Uvero alto area which are more secluded areas. Hope this helps! =)

Hola! When we visited the Barcelo Bavaro Palace we saw a lot of family with kids, didn't see a big crowd of single people, I would suggest checking out the Breathless Punta Cana, Riu Republica (link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZIuoj7ONaNPacbA.html) or Royalton Chic (link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/np-jz5pmf6WYm9I.html) =)

I have been to this property before and i once i heard him saying the food was amazing at the buffet i stop watching i am sure he is getting paid for this video. Although the property was nice

I disagree with you on this. I stayed at this resort a few years ago and I’m going back this summer. Not only is this resort rated 5 stars, it is the only one I’ve seen that actually has Dominican food in at least one of their restaurants.

In 2024 the food has gone downhill. We heard this from several people who had stayed there before. In fact we were with a group of 144, half of which had been there the year before, the food was the number one complaint

Wait, so you worked out, then went into the buffet ? That’s gross ! Shower then eat. No one wants to be downwind if you are smelly. Thanks guys.

Kids water areas and pools are usually warmer….about 98.6 Fahrenheit…..ewwww….like pee in other words…..gross.

They’re much shallower and therefore the sun warms them up quicker 🙂
