Im here at the hotel, the food is bad just be prepared for it sometimes you find dishes that went bad inside the buffet but other than that the location and views are awesome

Riu Cancun was amazing, no seaweed, the food and entertainment was great. We went there last summer and we had a wonderful time.❤

Barcelo is one of my favorites in Punta Cana among others such as: Lopesan costa Bavaro, Riu Palace Punta Cana, Margarita Ville, Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana and Hyatt Ziva.

thoughts on Majestic Elegance?

Awesome video. Did you get the premium level or the standard one? I also booked through Costco and the premium level was not available. I am wondering whether we can go to all the restaurants with the standard Junior suite reservation? Are they included as well? We are vegetarian (not vegan) and we eat egg and cheese but not any seafood or other meat. Do we have enough options?

Hi! Thank You! We got the standard reservation (we didn't know about Premium until we got there). You can make dinner reservations at any restaurant (Premium can also eat lunch at some of those), but it really depends on what time slots you want and the availability at the time you try to make the reservation. Some restaurants had vegetarian items on the menu, but it's best to check with the concierge for their recommendations or maybe they can make arrangements with the restaurant cooks.

This is a very informative video. I'm planning on booking through Costco Travel as well. Was the wifi included in the price or is there an extra charge for it? Also was your vehicle a private transfer or did you share with others?

Hi there! The WiFi was included and we actually got pretty good signal all over the property. As for the airport transfer, we just went with the default offered by the Costco package, we didn’t choose or upgrade to private. We just ended up on our own in the van maybe because it wasn’t busy at the time we arrived. Have a nice trip!

Awesome video 😊 how did you guys enjoy the food at this resort?? I'm heavily considering this resort for my next get away. Would you consider it to be a great value for your money? Is the spa included for premium guest?

Thank You! The food was pretty good overall, some meal were really good, some were ok. But we didn’t choose an all-inclusive resort for the quality of food, it was more for the convenience and not having to worry about finding places to eat, with different prices, etc. The all-inclusive resorts we’ve been to were all great value for the money. As for the spa, didn’t use this facility during our stay and we also weren’t premium guests so not sure what the premium includes. From the website it looks like discounted services at the spa. Hope you enjoy your stay whichever resort you end up choosing! ☺️

Hello, we had WiFi throughout the entire resort no problem, including pools and beach. As for the washing machines, we don’t remember seeing them for guest use, but they do have laundry service for a small fee. That info should be on a paper inside the room.

Thank you for your video and review!! Can I ask what time of the year were you there guys? And also last thing did you have to pay for the a La carte restaurants or all were free? In other Barcelo hotels for example in Riviera Maya we were getting a la carte vouchers based on the nights of the stay? Is it the same here?

Hello! We went there at the end of August. We did not pay extra for the A La Carte restaurants, they were all included with the resort (for dinner only), just need to make reservations. Some of the restaurants were open for lunch but reservations only available for Premium guests. Hope that helps!

Yea we thought about the rain too but decided to take a chance since it was the only time we were available to go. Turned out great, showers only 10-15 mins max and the rest of the day is nice and sunny. Hope it’ll be the same for you 😎

You should try Barcelo in Riviera Maya.

Fun resort. They have good family rooms. I had a better time there than the Barcelona in Riviera Maya. The adults only section at the Barcelo Punta Cana looked boring.

Hello, we went in August for 4 nights and paid about $1,500 USD plus taxes and fees, and it included the flight from San Francisco. You will have different prices depending on where you book and where you travel from.

Hello! We can’t really comment on whether or not the resort is good for singles, but we did see some bachelor and bachelorette groups. The property has a nightclub, so maybe guests from the sister resort (adult-only, called Barcelo Bávaro Beach), can come over and hang out.

I replied about the wrong video haha sorry. But yes all the restaurants are included with the All-Inclusive Resorts. The fancy ones also, you just have to make a reservation because they are not walk-in
