Thanks for the video Tom; you just saved me some money! I bought a 1998 Valkyrie trike from the original owner that passed away; the trike currently only has 17,400 original miles, had been sitting and needed a lot of work . Anyway, the other day when I went to start it, it clicked and then it sounded like the starter locked up. Then I got nothing when I pressed the starter button; just a dimming headlight. I suspected I might have an issue with my starter button or kill switch so I tried using a jumper wire across the solenoid and all I got was sparks, smoke, and a hot wire. I then ordered a rebuilt starter. Tonight, after watching your video, I went back out in the garage and this time used a wrench and got the starter working. I’ll be returning the starter I ordered once I receive it. I also sprayed some contact cleaner into my kill switch. Now it starts and runs like a champ. I too love the sound of my Valkyrie! Thanks again Tom.
Do you start the Honda Valkyrie you have to have spark plugs in the wires and have them grounded for it to kick over
do you know anything about the radio.. mine was playing, volume would go up but not down..now it won't play at all and my trip meter will not work.. any help wouuld be appreciated..
Enjoyed the video Tom.
I'm ready for the carb rebuild.

Hey @motoResto... how hard is it to install a different driver floorboard / shift setup on a 1999 Honda Valkyrie Interstate?

Don’t know. That’s not usually what I do.
Did you replace the float valve springs? They are very small and can take a "set" meaning they will collapse rendering them useless.

There are no springs. The springyness is in the float valve itself. All are new.
4.7.23. You might want to ask the owner when the “Rubber Bands™️” (Timing Belts) were last changed 🤔

I’m thinking about that. Thanks.
Something came out of the left pipe at first attempt. Could there have been an animal nest in there?
