Thank you for keeping your videos free, just wasted my time watching a @RollingWrench carb cleaning instruction video and only at the end did they reveal I would have to pay to see the rest.

Great explanation, as usual. 👍 Also, it's always a good idea to check/clean the needle and seat, only takes 2 minutes when the bowl is off. If you have a difficult time clearing out a passage with just spray cleaner, cut a piece of wire off a wire brush and poke it with that.

Aloha Mitch! I just had a quick question on Jets... I was curious what jets you recommend running? I have a 2020 Honda ruckus and the only mods I’ve done is a and NCY-CDI box, and NCY coil, NGK iridium splug, 5.5 sliders and a trail tack. I live at 5200 feet and about 160 pounds. I want to put a high flowing air filter(a K & N) in my stock airbox but when I do it seems to flow too much air and ran to lean. Also after installing the NCY-CDI box and coil I thought it would help it run not so rich here in Denver, but not really. So if I run the stock air cleaner it runs slightly rich and if I run the aftermarket air cleaner(K&N) it runs to lean so I’m curious what jets you recommend?

You should also clean the circuits that the jets are threaded into. Indle, midrange and main in this application.

Just got a 2016 ruckus 3,035 miles. I "Think" I'm feeling some kinda surging while riding along between like 25 and 40 mph. Pretty sure it's not the carb, just replaced the air filter and still feeling it. I'm just lightly but I was wondering is this leading to something serious drivetrain wise? Thanks for all your info BIG money saver!

Hello - I have a 2020 ruckus, the temp light comes on randomly as if over heating and scooter will want to stop running. If you let it cool, the problem seems to resolve itself and can go for days/weeks before it does it again. Any ideas or tips I can try to resolve? Thanks very much..

Sorry to hijack your question for Mitch, but I belive the 2020 Ruckus suffers from a waterpump issue? In all honesty, it's not something I've paid a whole lot of attention to as mine is an '02 Zoomer import, but from the chatter I've seen on the forums, this does appear to be a common issue. Contact your local Honda dealer as they are covering the pumps under warranty. At least that is what I have read online 👍🏻

@@chimbo8741 I did! I removed the jet/idle needle by taking off the top. This gave me access to spray carb cleaner on the piece mentioned in the comment. It came out after that! Sorry for the lack of terms! New to rebuilding scooters.
