Congratulations! I recently picked up a 2016 here in California ($10K, 4500 miles). It is superb and so well balanced. There are very few in the western US and I hadn't seen one before.

I wish they still made these. There is a 2017 with 3587 miles on it for sale near me, really want to take a look at it. Being 6’3” not a lot of bikes really fit all that well, even big ones, and it sounds like this one might be a great fit. Thanks for sharing your bike and info!

I have to CT in red . Accessories fitted are Honda crash bars, crash bobbins.R&G protection engine cases,MRA Xsceen,R&G heated grips. The bike is superb and engine is fantastic. Will keep it unit it dies as I can’t see any other bike to beat it in terms of build quality etc. I have had blackbirds, vfr ,GS etc and this trumps them all in my opinion.

Hi Paul, how hard was it getting off a big bike like the blackbird !!! The crosstourer will never have the topend but will keep up with most sports bikes in the lanes ....

I have a 2012 manual in red in Australia with some accessories fitted and love it, it is my "forever bike", all the bs I have read on many channels about this bike from what I assume are millenialls with it not having enough tech., I've been road/touring riding since 1976 and if you need all that Tech maybe you also need riding instructions/training or a whole lot less performance, it's not a smart phone, it's a motorcycle that performs it's job very well and you need to be on the road and at-one with it to appreciate it's torque and hp and ease of maintenance etc.

The main reason the CT didnt sell that well is suspension. Its quite poor on backroads, crashes over small bumps and potholes and is very harsh over rumble strips or similar. Send the forks for a revalve at MCT suspension Stowmarket and replace the rear shock for a Nitron. Its like a whole new bike and well worth the cost. Also a booster Plug makes the engine pull even better!

Further to my comments about the CT suspension. There is a cheap "half way house" fix for the problem. Change the fork oil from 5 grade to 2.5 grade and run the tyres at 26psi front and 30psi rear. Yes I know these pressures sound low but the bike is less affected than you would think and it does improve the ride quality considerably. BUT Frork revalve and Nitron are the true fix and well worth the cost and effort.

Lower PSI in tires just for the sake of a softer ride is not a solution, if anything it worsens your fuel economy and increases tire wear while only masking the initial problem.

@@mickeypopa Hi. Is your reply a general comment or specific to the Crosstourer. If you have fixed your CT suspension Im interested to know your solution.

Thanks. I will be 60 in 2023 and I think I'll buy a used 1200x I have a bandit 1200 which I love in summer and which is a real sleeper and an st1300 which i use all winter. I don't fancy a gs cos build quality is an issue. Tempted by Tracer 9 gt but ergonomics not great for taller riders. But it's the v4 on the honda that sways me. And I don't care about bells and whistles.

I really wanted a crosstourer untill I rode one. Top heavy. Heated grips are a pain to operate. Traction control is utterly useless. Interference way to abruptly. Brakes are mediocre. The bike is great in a straight line. Good stability also at speed. Cornering not so much.. the bike is upset when giving some beans mid corner.. I think your way better of buying a brand new Versys 1000 standard for almost same price. Cornering abs and traction control. Cruise control, better wind protection, lighter, better fual consumption and rides overal better.
