gan san talked about the engine mount not having the dampening characteristics it should have. honda actually went back and had it redesigned before the Final cars came out of production. this is the influence that these Japanese racers have on Honda.

wow, thats madness that gan-san can sense that the load bearing engine mount feels overly stressed - just by driving it - first impression! some people might pass it off as bullshit but fuck me i believe it coming from that dude. true legend.

It's nice to see that the engineers don't have a "holier than thou" attitude, and are prepared to investigate feedback from professional drivers....

a lot of people don't like this iteration of the civic type R, the EP3 but ALL of these honda Race cars are Wonderful and have incredible performance.

The USA was so robbed of the Classic EP3 TYPE R and the Previous TYPE R Civics by its OTT Highway Regulations. Great Cars.

To be fair the usdm EP3 was castrated to improve sales of the RSX Type S.

I think European press missed completely the criticism of Gan-San for the Type R. Until I watched this video, I did not know there was a feeling of engine mount rigidity during driving. Has someone read about this anywhere? I still believe this was top of the class.

Several of my friends watch Best Motoring so I'll tell them to subscribe. The problem I've found with BM vids on KZread is a lot of them are not in English and don't have subtitles. The quality of the video upload is often poor too. Your videos don't have either of these problems so your channel is a great source for BM content. My only suggestion is that the volume number of the episode is always in the title (I presume this episode is from a volume?). Thanks again.

I loved this show, even though I didn't understand a word of Japanese (well, almost nothing... I know some words already) I watched episodes on KZread and I needed no translation. I had the body language of the drivers and Tsuchiya's screams to understand what was happening... lolol And when I got to work on a car magazine, sometimes I used these clips as soundtrack to my pieces when I was writing... Cheers!

I have always said that these cars and even the older civics have constant engine mount issues. I dont like the way the mounts feel at low rpm's. Too much engine wobble
