For a $400+ 4.5" woofer w/ a basic amp+bluetooth+DSP, it better have something lmao!! That excursion is sweeeet. Wish the raw driver was readily available.

I mean it's a "subwoofer" but yeah you're right how do you expect anything under 35hz to come out of that? It's pointless having it play those very low frequencies under 20hz

It’s being driven a bit harder because the woofer isn’t installed in the HomePod. There’s a microphone inside the HomePod that monitors the woofer ensuring it isn’t over driven. It still plays those low notes when fully assembled, but not the same excursion levels.

It’s a beefy woofer
