@@ISky.. The homeowner has a camera, what we see on the video is what the homeowner saw. You don't need a second door when you have a camera and can clearly see who's knocking at your door.

They were armed, they were grouped up and they were trying to actively break into the homeowners home. I fully support shooting in self defense here. I wouldn’t shed a tear or waste my breath on people who would cause such terror in others.

Living in a total restrictive firearm country The amount of bacteria killed in soap is the of percentage people not having guns here. It is in fact rediculously rare to find a criminal who even have something that resembles a gun. Sure, some international ones who reside could have slipped through some firearms, but those kind of people don't go out randomly robbing people and disarming people here is like really, really easy. Instead of getting shot, you just have to deal with a knife at best, so it's all about gun control, baby! It's more or less a requirement to initially plead not guilty while evidence is gathered and adequate legal representation is found for defendants. Innocent until proven guilty is for all and always. Also removes avenues of appeal if they attempt it in the future.

I think that the home owner (and all home owners) need to undergo some type of training if they have guns. Just having a gun isn't good enough. They need to know how to make the best use of it. The instincts have to be there and it has to be decided beforehand for sure. Some degenerate tried to get into our car not to long ago with my family and I in it. Luckily the doors were locked. I had not expected it and was confused for a few moments. I was completely unready. Lesson learned.

This is exactly why citizens should continue to be permitted to own firearms. Notice how the one with a firearm was a felon, meaning he had to obtain the gun through illegal means. Bad people will find a way to do bad things, regardless of laws and regulations. Being able to defend yourself, your loved ones and your home, especially when outside help can't arrive in time, is essential.

Exactly. Gun laws only affect law abiding citizens. Last I checked, criminals tended to ignore the laws.

I don't even get up out of my seat when there's a knock on the door, unless I'm pretty sure it's a delivery. Even then, I look through the peep hole first. But at night?! No way, not opening the door!

@@huntstyle I’m the exact same way, I live in an apartment that has a gate and another door in between. Whenever I order I always tell them to leave it outside because I walk down the stairs to get it. If someone is knocking at my door I never open it. Only one person lives across me and no one else has keys up here so Screw that.

It’s hard to connect the two, but I somewhat agree. You’re taking a gun into someone’s house who you intend to rob… the gun can only be used for one thing. The problem is these idiots go out in groups and think they won’t get caught. I’m not sure the different charge would deter any of these low lifes.

@@niftygrower2745 Here's another point. If someone breaks into your home with a gun and claims it was for robbery, how would you know it was really for robbery? Maybe he was there to just kill you. Of course no perp is going to admit to that since robbery is the lesser of the two crimes but there is always a possibility that the main goal was murder and robbery was secondary.

That would be really difficult to prove. What if the gun the perpetrator had didn't have any bullets in it? Would it still be attempted murder? I think making the other charges elevated because a gun was used makes more sense, means you don't have to prove someone's mental state.

The DA in Las Angeles charged a man for shooting a burglar. The same DA didn’t charge the burglar with illegally owning a firearm. They only use those gun laws against law abiding citizens.

He was a tough guy going in the house with that pistol out, but at the slightest sign of opposition he runs like a rabbit! I've never been against home protection, we have some ourselves. It's just walking with a weapon through the grocery store that bothers me!!

Criminals need to know fear, and with the current state of government, the citizenry will have to take matters into their own hands.
