1 cup all purpose flour 1/4 tsp. salt 10 Tablespoons COLD butter 1/3 Cup ICE water Pour flour and salt into a medium size mixing bowl. Mix together. Add cold butter chunks Cut butter into the flour with a pastry cutter until butter is pea size. Add ice water. Mix lightly with a fork until the water is distributed and the four is clumping. With your hands lightly form the dough. It will be crumbly. Turn the dough out onto your floured board. With a floured rolling pin work from the center out to the edge of the dough until its a somewhat rectangular sheet. Fold the dough in half and half again. Repeat this process for five folds and rolls until the dough is in a smooth cold sheet. At the final fold wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least an hour before using in a recipe.

Thanks pretty lady! My husband is from Scotland I wanted to make chicken leek pie for New Years. Puff pastry was the one ingredient I forgot to buy. Now I don't feel so bad❤

Nope! This is only "Rough Puff" shortcut pastry dough! Authentic Puff Pastry has hundreds of layers because you flatten out the butter, never mixing it in, in little pieces. 😊

Far to much flour used here. That dough will be rock hard.. M y experience , 45 + years of professional cooking
