It's fun to try different things. Those that work, great! Those that don't, back to the drafting board and move ahead.

Pretty good ideas Chris! As long as it is useful and practical for you, that's all that matters. I also look for homemade solutions when it comes to my Spyder because a lot of accessories are just too expensive for their practicality. Cheers Chris!

Good job Chris. If it works for your needs go for it. Nothing wrong with saving a few bucks.

Two things - any organization of your ride is always better even if it’s home made. Your phone is using GPS no longer using A-GPS. I did a video on this but a Garmin GPS or similar does have full downloaded maps where you’re phone doesn’t unless you buy a program. Genius is the program for BRP GO. That comes with downloadable maps and then you could use the dash.

I use the Garmin Zumo 95% of the time. The Basecamp software has a steep learning curve and I normally create a google maps outline of what I want and then recreate in basecamp. For me there’s more options to find tune. Pros: if you’re on a long trip and you have a route in mind it’s static and no random rerouting. Easy to review the stop points you might want and search an area. Cons: doesn’t play will with BRP Go/connect. I did try using both so I could use speakers but gave up and just use the Garmin and my Sena for phone, directions and if I need a few miles with music.

My saddle bags contain tools in one, the other usually my clothing I might need and work out cloths, Frunk is empty, the rear usually a spare helmet(modular) and my and my go pro stuff. Pencils cases at Dollar tree would work as well as organizing and might last longer.

Put a piece of duct tape on both sides of the hole to provide support from tearing

Could you do a video showing in detail what you travel with in each compartment as well as what type of bag you us for the back seat that can be secured and still allow you to lift the seat in order to refuel. Thank you!

I will do a complete look at how I use luggage and what I pack, but it prob won’t be for a few weeks. I did a video on the Chase Harper Tail Trunk bag that I use for my back seat or trunk rack. But my driver’s seat lifts without having to lift the passenger seat.

Yeah, it doesn’t fit that well. I was disappointed, but I have it mounted. The only thing I have in there is my flying eyes cases and sunglasses snap on, and a small flashlight.

The audio doesn't route through the Spyder speakers, only the helmet. I have an XT2, and I've complained to Garmin about that, and the fact that there are no audio inputs so you can't do voice commands with it.
