Fantastic project and a lot of great engineering work. One thing though: pleeease wear a mask and goggles when sanding fiberglass. That stuff is no joke.

my thoughts too.
Looking great so far! Recommendation: Add some spray foam into the various cavities within the hull and top, as much as you reasonably can. This will add some more buoyancy, which would be useful in the event that it gets swamped. It could make the difference between a swamping and a sinking.
@SPHYNX99752

Great recommendation 👍, just be sure it is hydrophobic foam that is lighter than regular poured foam. My older brother built a floor for his fiberglass boat and used standard polyurethane pour foam in the voids that ended up absorbing water like a sponge. He thought he was making it unsinkable, like a Boston Whaler boat.
@stevebloke5455
Жыл бұрын
@@SPHYNX99752 too true the wrong foam works like a sponge and once it sucks up a heap of water it's damn near impossible to get out shy of removing all the foam. had this happen to a mates rc boat had to dig all the foam out to get it dry, ended up replacing it with polystyrene no problems after that.
Hi mad man genius and all watching and reading. I ordered my plans and in only 5 minutes I received them. Now that's service. Thank you. Can't wait to start with this project and with a little bit of additions convert it to my own build off shore fishing jet ski
This thing wil be so Cool when done. Most boat plans out there are from the 50's. Good to see some more modern ones being made.
On second thought you could also use closed cell foam in-between the ribs of the bottom inside of hull then cap it with 1/2" inch plywood and fiberglass over that and your Jet Ski will be unsinkable!!! Awesome work!!!
When you purchase something, you feel happy but when you create something, you feel proud.
you should use it as a mold and fiberglass it and sell the boat blanks so folks can build their own its never been done, you should do 2 or 3 layers fiberglass, you are using marine ply
Absolutely talented, extremely well rounded craftsman. Usually I go for the crazy builds, although that being said I’m so impressed with his skills. Also having myself done a fare bit of watercraft haul building and fiberglassing it would be fun to take a trip down memory lane with this really chill dude. Keep up the good work!
Awesome build. Patiently waiting for part 3! Keep up the great work.
Can’t wait to see it completed! If the plywoods wasn’t going to be so expensive I’d probably build one myself!
Very good! You teached a lesson for who wants to get one and doesn't have any money to buy one: "Do it yourself!" That's enough planing.
Not sure if you’ve thought about this yet but you’ll need some sort of air intake for the motor, if you are relying on the gaps around the seat than the motor will run terribly. A gravity or float trap can be used on the inside of the intake of the hull to prevent water from getting in if it flips.

@@homemade_madness I would add to this that you need a bilge plug, or some other way for water drain from the hull, ideally it would also have a bilge pump. Are you going to make the front a storage compartment?
This looks awesome! Great work I can’t wait for part 3!
Amazing job , I have confidence in you that the final project will be fantastic. Looking forward to part 3. Good luck to you.
It's very cumbersome for a paddleboard 😉 Nice work young man. If I was 30 years younger, I might even try to build it myself. But at nearly 70 years old, and in a wheelchair, I might find it a little taxing. Can't wait to see how the jet drive comes along. Kindest regards, Dave W (UK veteran pensioner)
Man... I like this build so much! Can't think about how much work went into it... Can't wait for the next parts! Keep it up!
Ik heb er alle vertrouwen in, benieuwd naar de volgende video👍😊
Well done you.... Inspiring... And Ive more to watch..... Can't wait to send vids of your jetski that I built
Keep up the spirit, keep on supporting
Amazing project! Greetings from Iraq
Bro I so need the next part I'm hooked
You continue to amaze me with your creative and “out of the box” thinking. Great job my friend! 👍🏼👍🏼
I think that PVC sheets could be better than wood, to prevent water moisture from entering, I hope you have great success in your next project!
Wow it's amazing, and looking good
WHO do YOU think you are coming on KZread and absolutely crushing everyone in the DIY game!?!?!?! lol your content is top notch my man!! ive never actually waited for a part 2.. but i had to with yours!

Amazing build and i cant wait to see how you build the jet drive. Happy to see you took the advice i gave you did a waterproof coat of polyester resin on the inside og the hull, i love tour engineering skills and I got inspired by you to do my oen boat build in solidworks, but bit of a learning curve on that amazing software, thank you and keep up the good work
Real professional experience, like the work 😎🇧🇿...
Part 3 please Watching from Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Proud to be Dutch if I see this! Great work and engineering! Really nice
bro greetings from the city of Pemalang Indonesia
Wow, amazing that you are actually building this. Very impressive
I'm thinking a trailer for this will be the next project, love your work, you are the definition of "where there is a will there is a way".
Serious creativity. I appreciate your great effort. It deserves encouragement
Wow that's cool!! Great work buddy 💯👏
Definitely one of my favourite build series at the moment

Crazy amazing build!! Nice work 👍🏻
Awesome!
honestly it seems tougher than an off the shelf jet ski lol
This is fantastic. The only design changes I'd make would be to add storage under the foot boards and make a hinged front hood with a large storage area. I'm not sure if I'd want to use a gas or electric motor for this. In any case, building one of these on your own means it could be completely customizable to meet your needs. Again, very well done.
на нижнюю, а особенно на верхнюю часть корпуса можно использовать фанеру гораздо тоньше примененной. меньше вес и бюджет. отличный проект! лайк!
hey man this is awesome! cant wait to see you finish this bad boy, and honesty its kinda making me wanna take a crack at making one myself, never made a jetski but have worked on several boats, but I do have one thing that i hope you do before you continue, you need to fiberglass the inside of both the top and bottom inside the hull, if you dont, then when water does get in there, and it will, all that hard work you did will be rotted away! not a critique just friendly advice

I agree, at a minimum I'd glass every joint and edge. Maybe some closed cell spray foam too for additional protection and it might help it stay afloat if it ever takes on water. Want to build one of these, gotta finish up my current airplane build first tho.

Agreed - polyester on wood don't do much and it will crack/delaminate at some point. I would fiberglass while polyester is still wet on the wood - same as with outside. 🤔🤓😁
One of the coolest builds I've found on KZread
Incredible work. Should have used the wood body for a mold and then made it all from fiberglass.
Great job! Sweet build and well Made plans
This 1 hell of a project I have been eagerly Waiting for......
Waiting next part 3 You are the best bro
Is that you're alone boy??! Passion amazing
Really coming along this is bud. Looking very smart. Can't wait to see this ripping down the lake! Top job
RESPECT = GREAT JOB
My hat off to you. Excellent work!
Thanks for your idea
Great project and fun to build, but i think you'll need a V8 to push this tank.....rib and skin, thats how Vikings used to build boats.😂
I've been waiting for this video to drop since part 1. Man I am so excited to see this project come together
Good luck with the project
Mind blowing. Well done as always! 💪🏼🔥
Second Video with Motor🔥
Good job! Really looks good.
this kid is amazing ! well done for all your hard work 👍👍
wow nice project😊😊😊i like it
Really changing the idea of what people can do with plywood. Insanely impressive allready, cant wait to see you put a motor in this thing!
This is a really cool project, but I think it takes some of the fun out of it when you're showing the finished result at the beginning of the video
Mate, I can't believe you're making your own jetski, and it actually looks like an actual jetski, bought from the shop. Well done! You got skills.
I just got these plans and all the wood. Can't wait to start
Thanks for the share ..I should do my own now
Great work once again man, this thing will be so cool when it’s done. Curious about what you’re going to do with the engine and propulsion system, looking forward to the next video. Fryslân boppe!
Maravilloso trabajo has hecho joven.Espero verla terminada.Bendiciones.
Well done, my friend…. well done. Thanks for sharing!!
Great video! Can’t wait to see the next one with the motor build If you want your Timelapses to flicker less use a manual exposure mode (or exposure lock if you’re using a phone). They look really cool with whatever motorized slider you’re using!

The build is epic. Though I would say that I don’t think that you’re mixing the MEKP into the resin properly but I can’t see what is happening off-screen. It’s really important to mix that stuff thoroughly and in the right proportions. Plus it’s extremely dangerous stuff and should only be handled with the proper PPE on.
I can't wait man 😫😫😫 such a great project
part 3 please😊😊😊

great job brother, tnks for sharing
You grind the laminate without a mask - even a dust mask - a bit unhealthy. But it's your health. Awesome project!
Amazing as always, hope life is good.
Brilliant skills 👌Awesome video👌 Love the results so far 😍🥰 and can't wait to see the next stage🤞, I wish you the very BEST 👍👍👍👏👏👏✌❤🍀
mad impressive
Damn cool, but looks extremely heavy. I made "jetski" Pelikan for 30hp outboard motor out of 4mm plywood. Frames was reinforced with 20x20 planks. Deck 4mm also. Covered with 2 layers of fiberglass.
I would also hinge and seal the top and bottom to make the easiest access for your mechanical installation.
Very cool buddy, good for you. I'm also jealous of where you live. It's so beautiful, I can't wait to see this finished.
