@@beetown2876 tried it today - thank you SO MUCH!!! I have tried at least seven or eight different Vietnamese baguette recipes, and none of them have turned out right. Always too heavy without the crispy exterior, even with the water in the oven. I knew there was something wrong with the ingredients but didn't know what. Your recipe turned out perfectly! Just like when I get a bahn mi sandwich. Thank you!

You put a pan of water under the bread. Do you leave it there the whole time? Do you also spray the bread with water once it goes into the oven. When the bread cools off will it still be crunchy or do you need to reheat to make it crunchy again?

Hi, thank you for question, and yes you leave the hot water pot inside oven whole time and before baking 5-8 minutes you will not need to spray water. But you can spray the bread before bake no problem too. With me I did not spay before bake this batch baguettes but the bread still good 👍 and the bread will be crunchy if you leave outside around 8-12 hours with out wrap it. If you put the baguettes inside the bag or wrap the bread will soft and if you like to eat crunchy you will need to bake it again. Wish you have a nice day too. 🌻🐝❤️
