I buy one of those if they made them. That would save alot of time on places I've cleared before.
Drill large holes in the disc to remove weight. Make it spin easier.

Absolutely, this puts way too much stress on the little motor this way too.
Love your creativity, it's inspiring!
You have to watch the weight and added friction so you don't overload the clutch. I added just longer and heavier string and I almost melted the at the clutch assembly.

Why don't you cut decorative holes in the disc to reduce weight?

Many do online. Forester is one. I couldn’t find a store in my area that does yet though. I’m impatient and don’t want to wait for shipping though need it now. So may try this but worried about not getting it perfect balance without a lathe.

Why bother making one, they are available as clearing saws, or brush cutter heads.
