What the heck, saying Dr Gabor Mate said he'd "try" to help her get clean. Not get her clean, that's on the person that uses. And she seems too partway realize that now but clearly she fully doesn't. Dr Gabor Mate is absolutely amazing and does so so much for not only the people who use substances but the treatment providers, their loved ones, stigmas in the general public and legal system at all levels, and sooo much more! Sheesh.
Thx for doing the interview. Good information.

At least these women are honest and have a little bit of insight...but clearly not enough to do the emotional work. Abuse of the system . Always put yourself behind your circumstances. Good luck.
13:30 she says the scenery is so beautiful today while filming tents of homeless people struggle to survive and speaking to two struggling women.
Cannabis? helping me heal from rectal assault nearly to death at 3. And healing is no pinic....many many suicidal crises which most therapists are scared to go through with you.
Youre making excuses. Detox is detox wherever you go. HOW BAD do you want it, FIGHT for it, no its not going to be easy nothing worthwhile ever is!

Yes, Inquisitor, excuses are what I determined to be coming from the lady with the blue toque especially. I’m not judging her, I have been where she is, not in Vancouver but in the same mindset. Detox is unpleasant but as you said they are not the reason. Drugs are available to anyone who actively seeks them. She chose to leave because she wanted drugs, the boyfriend’s birthday was irrelevant, just a convenient excuse.
Hopeless . Tragic but hopeless.

How are they hopeless? Because you a random stranger says so, I highly doubt that
Must suck
Go home
93 million Canadian taxpayer dollars were given to house, feed, etc. asylum seekers between 2021and 2023. Shouldn't those dollars be spent to help Canadians?
Dont do drugs and you wont be homeless.duh

That is so not true. People that don't do drugs are homeless. Rent is very expensive for some people to get by

You don't pay for anybody's drugs! if they're on a safe supply program boo-hoo for you paying tax dollars we pay your shit ass healthcare cost, so 😮 maybe people don't want you alive like how you clearly don't care if they are ever think about that? oh no, we're all screwed paying taxpayer money. It's not a waste. It takes a ton of times to go to detox and rehab and that's the nature of addiction and I'm glad they haven't died from relapses..
