Here is a follow up to a video I did 8 months ago about Jarleena, a 70 year old who was left behind by her son, homeless & in shelters, struggling to find a place to live with her small pension in Canada. If you can comment, like or share - it will help this video get out there so we can continue to help her and hopefully more ppl in the future. Feel free to contact me or use the gofundme, if you would like to help her in other ways for the later years of her life. This is more of her story.

What about his tears when he was growing up ? Many of these women are abusive and neglectful to their children when she was a young woman , so don't feel sorry for her . These are the same women that will take the child support money and spend it on weaves , eyelashes , false nails and makeup . Go to the children's shelters here in Toronto and you will see what I am talking about. Yes I am here to defend him . Have you bleeding hearts ever stop to think what she was like as a young woman ? My mother and father were not good parents, verbally and emotionally abusing me. Plus, they allowed other people to abuse me. So, I can understand the pain and sadness adult children feel from parents that cause them fear and hurt. Some people should not be parents. Sometimes, for their well-being, adult children need to end their relationship with their abuser, who happens to be their parents. Moving forward from my abuse, I learned that my parents grew up surrounded by abuse, which does not excuse their behavour but helped me to understand where they were coming from. Sometimes, for their well-being, adult children need to end their relationship with their abuser, who happens to be their parents. For myself, it was up to me to be empathetic and end the circle of generational abuse. Even with all my parents had put me through, I could never put them on the street. There are always two sides to a story, and we only hear one.

It took a lot of years to eventually have some empathy for her , erase my built up hatred for she was also raised in an abusive household and repeated what she knew. Through God I am learning to forgive, haven't fully got there yet but will do eventually.

My Mother wasn’t a good parent, I dealt with lots of abuse, left home at 13 years old. When she changed her life, I was 25 years old. I always financially supported her, clothed her, fed her, loved her. When she was dying, from brain cancer, I was the only one there taking care of her, loving her, forgiving her. For those who know the loss of a parent, you live with regret, I wish I would have, I could have……. I hope her son doesn’t live to regret his decisions he made

How sad, her son was her best friend and he broke her heart and left her alone, how disgraceful. I usually do not comment but I find it useful to share as I’ve seen her story before and my mom is currently experiencing this same abandonment from her 1st born. It’s been incredibly difficult to see the pain in my mom’s eyes knowing the way her 1st born treats her and being witness to both sides of the story I know that sometimes the parent is not to be blamed. Adult children can be selfish and entitled and when things do not go as they desire they throw tantrums like 2 year olds in the form of malice and neglect to their parents. It is a very painful situation. But we must remember our parents are also human beings and deserve kindness and forgiveness the same way God has forgiven us.

That's true, but I appreciate her honesty. She said she was a street girl and wasn't the best mother, but she did the best she could. It's so hard for single parents because they have to do the job of two parents. It seems she and her son still had a good relationship before things went terribly wrong somewhere. But I'm glad too that God stepped in and blessed her with a home.🙏🏾

I have the same fear. I have two adult kids. Have their own families. They don’t even call me. I’m 64. Fixed income. I’m so afraid. I raised them. Protected them. Provided. And they act as if I’m a burden. So I just stay away and don’t bother them. I earned my BA degree. I did ok. Then I got sick, and they became embarrassed of me. I’m better health wise but they still act like I’m an embarrassment. I paid for college for my daughter. My son became very spoiled ( my fault) yes . So she’s telling the truth. I feel her spirit. She’s not lying. If she can come to the states, she can live with me

Get her in touch with the Jamaica High Commissioner there. I met a lady like that in Florida and they linked up with her family in Jamaica. She actually had a house there and was homeless. They got her back home.

@@myserenity1130… did you actually listen to any of what the woman said? She stays if she stays out of Canada for more than 182 days, she loses some of her benefits. We don’t know if she still has family in Jamaica. We don’t know if she has property or anything like that. Do you think any self-respecting person would just put their life out in the public like that without a good reason?

Some mother’s(like mine) are very cruel to their children when none is around. My mother would beat me and call me ugly and stupid. When I tired to better myself in school she would laugh at me. She never helped me and when I became an angry teenager she convinced me I was born a curse. I hated myself most of my life. Without any love I ran into the arms of an abuser. It took me a long time to get myself together. Got rid of the deadbeat ex and raised my children alone with no family or child support. Now my children are grown and I am working hard, making my dreams come true. My mother refuses to get therapy and she goes around telling everyone who will listen how I abandoned her. She has breast cancer and cries nonstop. I have been called every name in the book and have been abandoned by my whole family but I REFUSE TO ALLOW HER TO BULLY ME ANYMORE. Maybe her misfortune is her karma. Maybe the son should not interfere.

I am here with you. Mine treated me the same way as a child and teen. When your abuser is a parent, people do not take what they've done to you seriously. I stopped talking to her more than 5 years ago. If she is alone or sick or destitute somewhere, then she's clearly having the day she deserves and I'll be happy for her 🥳

I am right here with you guys. As a child, I had a terrible relationship with my mother. She had boyfriends and husbands to attend to, I was just there. Finally, I left her and her husband when I was 17 years old. I made sure that I NEVER needed her again. Now, here she is back in my life acting BROKE. I am 54 years old, married and a grandmother. She is living in my home. She was renting nearby and the home was sold, here she is. I am READY TO GO THROUGH THE FFING WALL RIGHT NOW!!! She has been here almost a damn year! I talk to her about moving into her own place and she says she can’t afford it. I told her, she has till the first of the year. I will NOT BE HER CAREGIVER. She didn’t care enough about me to make sure that I wasn’t harmed growing up. She’s got to go! I literally get feelings of rage when she talks to me. I ignore her A LOT. I just stay in my room till my husband gets home. My life is HELL RIGHT NOW. Sorry, didn’t realize that I typed so much. Sorry. I would be interested to hear the son’s side of the story. 🤔

One has to study the system, plan early, children have their own problems even though you sacrifice and grow them up. Not all children will look out for parents. Decide early in age for retirement with relocation.
