Hello and welcome to the channel where people who live on or frequent Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, get the chance to tell us something about themselves and how it is that they arrived at where they now are. Many stories, but not all, will include such topics as drug use, addictions, recovery, sobriety, homelessness/housing challenges, mental health issues, and creativity. The hope is that the experience of being seen and heard, will be of benefit to those who share their stories, and that the listener will gain understanding and compassion for the challenging realities others may be facing.

This lady pulls on my heartstrings. I will be praying so hard for things go well on her journey through the rest of her life.
If her teenage daughters all don’t talk to her there is obviously an issue with her being a good mum, a father can’t stop them when they have their own phones.
could you please contact me and let me show you something free that can really help these people please? They deserve help and need it and governments don't care, duh, they waste money on stuff that doesn't work and these people live like hell while some of the priviledged audience puts stupid comments down there while they do nothing to help. Some of us put our money where our mouth is. Healing is not super hard but they are not sharing proper tools to do it and pharma is not real medicine, contrary to popular belief, they are the ones who cause all this in the first place. The most proven psychology tool is also the most unknown to date, I will share for free. Nobody should live l ike this!

Such a waste of life, doing hard drugs, and drinking chronically and living on the cold streets. Young people with aimless lives, hanging out, and becoming unemployable. Its a global epidemic.
Glad she reconnected with her dad - i hope she reaches out to him again because even if they go for coffee it may be the best thing for her. Infound out by researching the internet on my dad that he had passed away about 5byears previous and was upset i hadnt known - had no one to tell me. Parents were divorced for years and yhey had no contact - and ive no siblings.....i regretbnot reaching out when i uad the opportunity.

I think she mentioned she has or had mental health issues. Can happen to anyone. You, your child, sibling or parent. She's doing remarkably well, considering what she has to deal with.😊

its the Republicans In the U.S. (America is more than the U.S.) that block every bill that the Dems try to put through for spending for mental health and housing and other programs that help the poor. The GOP calls poor people lazy and the 'milk' the Govt. Its nonsense. This woman is as valuable as I am or anyone else but the GOP wants to take away existing programs and block new ones from helping. Im sincere with you. Im not looking to argue. But this is reality. This is why I fight so hard to help folks who are misinformed (like you) to begin to realize that what they are told, what they believe as it relates to Govt. is oftentimes based on information that is simply not true. I can back up what I say by showing you MANY MANY MANY examples of bills blocked that would be to help the poor to have a fairer shake and a hand up in life.

Thank you for bringing Ginger’s story to us. This woman is so deserving of a new life and so much love. There is help for her! Thrifters Paradise in Langley is a thrift store that is run by volunteers. All proceeds go to help abused abused women and house them. There is also a grocery/ furniture store in South Surrey. Employees that work there were homeless people who want to get off the streets. They work there and there is a place for them to stay there too. I’m sorry I don’t know the name of it. Please help this woman to get the help she needs, and deserves. Thank you
Thank you so much for all this helpful information. It's great to know that such places exist. I'm trying to find Ginger again and find out where she's at in terms of getting the supports she needs. It's not easy to locate most people again who are homeless and don't have a phone.) I spoke further with Ginger after we finished filming this video and found out she is particular in where she'd like to live and what kind of therapy she's interested in so this makes her situation a little more challenging yet. i worked at st paul's er in the 90s and i remember an ellie who would come in all the time. she looks like her but she must be a younger version. so sad. She's a beautiful woman, like a Jackie O. I pray for grace to fall upon her and to transform her soul.
