Im so pleased that a band released a song of tolerance and understanding. It truly is what our country the world needs. Not just the Christian ideals. All races and religions can benefit from just a simple song of acknowledging issues.

If you get a chance, look at Paul Cauthen's site. A talented writer who has a voice reminiscent of Johnny Cash. I love this song and wish more would heed the message. I find the more fundamentalist the person, the greater the intolerance and hatred, whether religious or political. We are one people on one planet so we need to act accordingly.

Well,another reason I have on line pastors. Though I am pretty hardcore back to basics religion,I don't tolerate discrimination,racism and out and out nastiness. Just lost a friend tonight because he kept trying to explain his comment. It was about a city's teachers union that voted to strike. It serves minorities and disadvantaged students as their minority. He sent me a text that said the teens were p'd off because they couldn't get free lunch. Because I texted back, considering the demographics of the district,that was a racist statement. Boy, the name calling and insults that came at me when he tried to say I was overreacting and explain why it wasn't. Good christian (little c on purpose) man. I was amazed that I got that response. All I can do is pray. I also have a gay son. Though he hasn't voiced any feelings about that,I'm sure he disapproves. Better he decided to end the friendship. I won't tolerate that behavior.
