This has a great message that everyone needs to not only hear, but also heed. We all need this song more than ever right now. Tim has always spoken his mind when it comes to things like this, which at times has gotten him in trouble, but he fights on anyway for his beliefs. And I, for one, love and admire him even more for taking a stand and sticking to it. I always love your reactions, but this time it was even more special. Your facial expressions say it all!

I appreciate that. Look, I have no idea if all of the guys in Home Free share the same opinion. It's highly unlikely they do in all cases but it seems like they all share the same opinion about what matters and you said it Michael. They share an opinion about their music. They choose the songs they cover and write their own material as well. As a group they decide on what they put out. They made a choice to remain true to the music and to themselves because you can't have honest music if you aren't saying something you truly believe. No one is that good of an actor. This is such a different sound than you usually hear from Home Free, but I think that works even more hopefully to get people to pay attention to the lyrics. Wow! I just don't know what else to say. Vocals were on point. Adams beatbox was perfect for this song. I loved the they gave their voices to many other people in this video. It's quite amazing, that after 20 years, they still can pull a new rabbit up of that rabbithole. I'm impressed of their talent, and are amazed of their magic vocals together (and yes, also Adam's beatboxing and vocals). They truelly are one of a kind on this world, and so down to earth. Love that they still are super creative, eaven under a pandemic.

I thought you would like this! I saw Paul Cauthen doing this song live last year at the Tønder Festival in Denmark. He has an incredibly strong presence on stage, and I would urge anyone who can to go see him, and to listen to his music - there is truth behind it, in a way you don't see enough of. Home Free is usually not this dark (almost scary), but I love it when they are. And as Tim said: Be good to eachother!

Just a little back info....Home Free has been playing the original by Paul Cauthen as part of their concert walk-in music for awhile. Shows you just how conscious they are in messaging with their song choices. Usually, it's upbeat positive songs but then they throw a song like this in the mix that really makes a statement.

Thanks for this, I always enjoy your reactions because you have such a deep and genuine appreciation for Home Free, and music in general (also your sense of humor slays me, so added bonus). Such a powerful song from these guys. I signed up to their patreon a day before they released it to patrons, have been listening to it at every opportunity. I love how easily they can go from their sillier fun stuff to something like this. I wish more people knew about them.

I kept listening because I was curious. Then Tim came in with that low voice, then the people singing those lyrics, and then I was really hooked! I love this song and its very clear message. Oh, I loved how your finger “slipped”! Then I waited for that grin! I knew you would love this one, and I so appreciate how you keep reacting to their music. Hi Cheryl, late to reply, I know, but a few thoughts. In the past, radio plays were important to drive album sales. Streaming has knocked the bottom out of the album market, so radio doesn't really help. KZread and Spotify pay very little so the only way to make enough to support families is touring. Tim has said that the only reason to make videos is to create an audience for the live shows. Merchandise is also important, in fact there are some bands who live only on the merch proceeds, but again you need to tour to find new customers. Hence the rise of Patreon, taking us back to the 18th century, where if you have the money you can buy access to the band and feed their kids. It also helps to finance the videos, which creates the market, etc etc Sad but true, and it must be a dilemma for Austin, happy as never before but aware that leaving someone behind while you tour is very dangerous. Rob's wife has her own work, not sure about Adam's. Tim's wife Jenika and Adam's wife Sami work for the band, if not full time. This is a problem for all musicians apart from those at the very top of the tree - which often is just down to luck.

As usual, an amazing reaction, Sir! I love your analysis and comments, but honestly my favorite part of your reactions is when you find a really good part and “accidentally” rewind it with that giant grin! Love it!

I live in a very small place and we aren't as affected by all the violence that is on the news, however that doesn't mean that my heart doesn't bleed everytime I see or hear about another riot, protest, demonstration that boils down to violence.
