It is SO easy to forget that Home Free is completely Acapella! A number of people have covered this John Denver song but Home Free's version is still my family's favorite--hands down❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
They did a Boyz 2 Men cover of THE END OF THE ROAD. it is very good and you should work it in your rotation when you can. Great reaction have a blessed day.

Yep, especially since you mention Boyz 2 Men you really need to give a listen to their cover of End of the Road. Plus Shawn Stockman was one of the judges on the Sing Off season that Home Free won so he is very familiar with this group.
What they did with this arrangement is nothing short of spectacular.
I grew up listening to John Denver's songs. But I feel Home Free took this one to another level for me. It is one of my favorite covers of this song. I love everything about it. It is a masterpiece. Individually they are super talented but when they come together as a group it is perfection!
I like John Denver’s song but I really like the way “Home Free” has done this song as it has a really groovy feel to it and a freshness. Another song going on my driving portion on my playlist. Great request💖
The definition of a great song is it's integrity of lyrical strength...even when applied to other genres. John Denver was one of the greatest songwriters of all time.
No surprise that they crushed this. It sounds so fresh and new. They sound so full and rich with just their voices. Perfection, as usual. Love these guys more and more all the time.
I love home Free. They're so fun & amazing! Their harmonies are, of course, gorgeous. Honestly, though, I prefer John Denver's pure, rich & creamy voice & his natural, effortless delivery. Just for 1 tiny example of exqusite harmony, hear him harmonize with Cass Elliot on Leavin' On a Jet Plane.
Gorgeous selection! Yes- they’re inspired by Boyz to Men. They do a great job honoring End of the Road, too!
They did a B2M cover, "End Of The Road".
Their cover of “my church” is amazing too!
Home Free takes a song and elevates them....I agree Denver was more folk than country, and I loved his stuff. This arrangement was worked on for 5 years before they recorded it. I too enjoy the R&B and bluesy feel that was brought to the song. Very different than the pop/country/folk feel of Denver's version. God bless brother, and keep doing the Lord's work
Love this. You’re right, John was more of a folk singer . I honestly like this better. It’s one of my favorites. They made it like a ballad. Good reaction MRM. 😀
Hi! Home Free is beyond amazing, the very best of today's music. Real talent. There is a song by The Boss,(Bruce), called 'I Wish I Was Blind"on a little- known album. Its simply beautiful. You have to hear for yourself. A live performance, you can hear the harmony singer, who is Bobby Hatfield, of The Righteous Brothers. He's icing on the cake. The song is so emotional and poignant. So overlooked! I think you would love it if you've not heard it_ you missed out, and you'll be scratching the back of your head for sure! Love your show!
Do. More. Home Free. Put em in a Playlist and the Home Fries will flock to watch every one. I suggest Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling" covered by Home Free.
This is easily my favorite version of Country Roads now. I love John Denver's of course...but.....man, Home Free really elevated it.
I love their voices. You said, with their song Quarantine I believe it was' that song relaxed you and you could fall asleep to it. That's how this one us for me. Thank you for reacting to more Home free. If you are looking f for more songs by them I would suggest "In The Blood" "Emd Of The Road" and "Brothers In Arms". You really can't go wrong with any Home Free song. Thank you and God Bless You and yours.
Nobody can sing that like John Denver. I lived on that song for years.
Hi Ty. Missed your luve chat. Don't think I got a notification. Saw no place for a comment either but I watched and liked it. Homefree is a great group. Have a blessed day!
Home Free busting out the cover upgrades. Thanks for your time.
Yes I agree John Denver is definitely more folk. I don't remember if you watch End of the Road by Boy's II Men if not you should probably watch it. Great reaction from you.
John Denver would say “far out!”
Country through and through here. Hits my soul
If you like covers with their own twist, then Home Free is the right place for you. While retaining the respect and appreciation for the original, they still make it a true Home Free version. Precisely because they all have different beautiful voices, but still fit together so well, it sounds great. Add to that the incredible beatboxing/percussion of Adam Rupp and it's really perfect. I liked John Denver's version, but it didn't touch my heart and soul like this from Home Free, which has some Soul in addition to the country.
If you like Home Free's version you also need to check out Geoff Castellucci's Low Bass cover of this song. Made me go back to the summer of 1971. Bill Withers (Bass Singer Cover by Geoff Castellucci) of Ain't No Sunshine. So much emotion.
You are definitely right when saying Denver was folk…but he DID create another sound himself! As far as people singing “runs”, I think it might be because they cant hold the note! Show me someone who does “runs” and can sing in key at any given time!
Check out home free doing cover of "Ain't going down til the sun comes up" (Garth Brooks) you will be stunned by...........
You referenced boys to Men. Home Free did End of the road.
Hard to go wrong with Home Free. They cover a lot of different "styles", but they are tight. Peace, Love!!
Thank you for reacting to Home Free! My absolute favorite group! I appreciate it very much! Sending love from South Georgia!♥️😃🍟
Love this cover 😍 Can you tell me if you have reacted to Home Free: when a man loves a woman? Nice reaction 🥰🤗
Home Free are awesome singers and beat boxers! Great reaction as always!
Love Home Free, they’re coming to Calgary later this month….very excited
As others mentioned, they did do Boys 2 Men, End of the Road. Very good and very respectful to the original. You might like a bit of lighter sillier Home Free - Butt Remix.
I still love John's original version, can't be topped

@@missymurphy9996 but everybody sings it wrong, its growin' like a breeze, not blowin' like a breeze
This song brings back so many memories. I grew up in a family of migrant workers. We traveled from state to state picking whatever fruit or vegetable was in season. But we always came back home to Louisiana. As we got closer and closer to home, my sister, brother and I would sing this song, replacing West Virginia with Louisiana. We sang until we crossed the Louisiana state line.
HARMONIES TO DIE FOR. NO MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS OR DRUMS (I SAY WHO NEEDS THEM WHEN HOME FREE CAN PRODUCE THEIR SOUNDS THEMSELVES). THEY ARE SO GOOD THAT IT'S ALMOST UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!! EXCELLENT REACTION AS ALWAYS MY MAN. I LIKE BOTH. I GREW UP IN THE 60'S & 70'S SO JOHN DENVER WAS IN MY WHEELHOUSE BUT HOME FREE PUTS A WHOLE NEW SPIN ON THIS WONDERFUL SONG. I SAY LOVE THE ONE YOU'RE WITH BUT STILL ENJOY BOTH VERSIONS. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved your reaction!!
Also their "How Great Thou Art"
Love to see that smile
Hi Ty! Thank you for reacting to Home Free's version of Country Roads! Home Free has their own original songs, but their "cover" songs are always UPGRADES of the originals but still giving tribute to the original artists! John Farnham is my favorite singer of all time, but Home Free is my favorite group & they don't even have to have instruments to be amazing!😊
There's a song that has a deep meaning for me ( been there) the song is Toy Soldiers by Martika. It's about drug addiction
Thank you so... Much for doing this song! It has been my favorite since I was a child growing up in West Virginia! I love their version, but John Denver's is close to my heart.
I live in West virginia and this describes it beautifully. It a poor state but yet beautiful I love that my neighbor across the street is a horse named Clyde and I walk over and give him apples in the summer (I have permission from the owner lol)
Oh, Lordy….this is such a Soooothing song for the soul ❤️🥰‼️🥰❤️ Now…..do “END OF THE ROAD”…..cover of BOYZ II Men…..Rob Lundquist…Kills it….with SOUL ‼️‼️‼️
These guys are AMAZING
Hey, always sending you prayers and congrats on your arsh kicking the school board :)
They soulified it.
I felt both versions are good. If I had to pick one probably the original.
Thought you said good-bye to HF. Glad to see you back.
Luv Home Free!! Awesome cover. But I like John Denver's original better. Actually they're two totally diff songs. Thnx mimamaria & Ty. Blessings
I'll stick with John's version. It took all those guys to try to equal John's and didn't. Going to listen to the original to try and get this one out of my head.
Pick a genre, style, generation, and we Home Fries will tell you which videos you should see, lol. They do it all, and they do it BEST.
I like them and totally respect them on this song.... but nothing can top the John Denver version. That song makes me bawl every time I hear it. This just sounded nice, but didn't have the emotional tug for me like original does.
Their 'ad-libs' are the best in the business.
John Denver was as country as they come.
A capella!!
I like both please do Home Free 9 to 5 (Beatboxing breakdown)Live and Your Man(Live)
This is really beautiful! Never been a fan of this song, but boy I am now! Home Free forever!! Ty for your reaction to HF! Please react to their video, "When A Man Loves A Woman "
Thank you ^_^
Fire!
Check out "End Of The Road"....it is incredible!!
if you haven't heard Try by Blue Rodeo, a Canadian group, you should give it a try
Here's an idea for a song re-done completely differently, by the same artist. Eric Clapton - After Midnight original is upbeat in his youth. The 1987 redone version was used to sell Michelob beer, is much slower and for myself is the better version. Usually I don't like songs that are redone.
Hi Ty.
I would love to see your reaction to a cover of Aerosmith's song *Dream On* by *Voiceplay* , another acapella group I like as much as I like Home Free.
I have requested you play several songs . You have never played even one of my songs however I requested you play riding with Private Malone you didn't play it but 5 others did so I have figured out how it is done make a request on your channel and all the other people pick up the song and play it for you. Glad I have found out that if you play then you have to pay.
I love this song by John Denver! And also, young talent Jonathan Antoine does a semi-operatic version which, to me, is the most beautiful version. The harmonies were lovely here, not a big fan of Home Free tho! 🤷🏻♀️
I'd like for you to react to the ones who don't make it home
John would have like this
Hello Ty
I'm a old John Denver fan..I still like his better....I like some Home Free but this wasn't one of them
CHECK OUT voiceplay - dream on
😇👍
Tell me they don't "R&B up" everything they sing?
NOBODY does How Great thou art like Elvis! Why don't you do him?
You should listen to Pay Boone singing Metallica's Enter sandman!!! It's done in swing vs hard rock.
"Eh".. Too "busy". It's a simple song and it should be performed that way. This isn't bad, but it's not great. They got way self-indulgent on this.
Also I've just been reminded of a song about my homeland that you might enjoy: Kamikaze Kangaroo kzread.info/dash/bejne/a4l-scqmZrapnJc.html
Home Free don't do covers.....they do enhancements. Most time their covers become my favorite versions of the song.
