Here I investigate why the Holzfforma G372XP HLIC carb appears to be untunable. Welcome to Man Time!

Removing the spark arrester/box is a risk I wouldn't take personally. But your saw seems to be cutting great. It would be interesting to see how it would do with a new chain after your mods. Cool video. 😎👍

Different carb runs like a champ nice analysis and footage, nice to know if you ever run into the same situation. Yesterday i did weld two inches around the log splitter pad man what a world of difference with those big logs, easy job maybe 20 minutes.

Novice lumberjack has a video on fixing the carbs on the cs590 echo. It has a jet that sucks fuel and richens the mixture at a certain rpm. He jb welds it up. Dont know that this is your problem but maybe .I have the same saw, don't have any carb issues. Don't know what carb is on it. Just checked it says hlic so nevermind

That’s where I got the idea to jb weld the carb. I’ve got several videos on all the problems and fixes I had to do. Shouldn’t have to tear down a new saw to make it run right

What could be your problem with the carb being rich. Look at the diaphragm on the metering side see how it is wrinkled it is probably holding the metering lever open to much letting to much fuel in.

Good point but I think there’s more to it. I’m going to dig back in soon

You have a low and high adjustable jet and a brass main jet

Just put an OEM one on it and call it a day.

The main jet has a check valve in it

I'm def no carb guru but 7/8 of a turn on the H sounds like it would be in the ball park. It's the 2 turns on the L that seems off? Does the L circuit help feed the H?? Have you tried setting the L at 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 to see if it;s still fat?

Anything below 2 on low it bogs on throttle from not enough fuel

Low Jet is about 20% of your fuel at wide open throttle.

This is the major reason I wont buy this brand of clone saws. Neotec at least has quality control and warranty. There is no good reason to have to do quality control from a company that sells alot of saws.
