God is so good, He delivered me from homosexuality, addiction, suicide, mental health, demons, being institutionalized, and now I walk, talk, and speak different. I’m going to Bible college to fulfill Gods calling on my life! It’s quite the radical transformation, but that’s what He does when we are obedient and submit! NIV refers to the "loud noise" as joy. What translation did you find that? Also verse 2 refers to playing the harp. Different instrument than distorted guitar. Hey we can always make the Bible fit our narrative.

My son is in jail and happened to find this band on the tablet they allowed him to have. He told me how the H.S touched powerfully thru their music. And I as his mother listening to this really sense the presence of God. God does use all genres when the vessel is surrendered and broken before Him. Thanks to this band and your walk with God.

Praise God !! I am a prodigal son, I was saved at 17 and was completely transformed almost immediately after encountering Jesus Christ. As the years went by, I gave in to the culture I was surrounded by and eventually backslid. I began to drink heavily to quiet the guilt and shame I felt in my sin. The enemy had such a stronghold on me I thought I was a reprobate and lost forever. I lived in such fear that I was beyond saving that I stopped even trying to live right. I still talked to God in my "own " way, I still believed in Christ and even loved Him but I knew I was lost. Recently I lost my infant son Caleb a year and a half ago and it just about killed me. Honestly it hurt more than I can ever relay in words. By God's Grace, Caleb was born a twin along with his older brother Jacob, who spent 3 months in the NICU and is now 18 months old. Praise God !! I am so humbled, thankful and grateful, yet also broken and desperate for God . . By His Grace and Mercy, He is showing Himself so strong on my behalf, protecting me and my family, giving me a reason to live. I Thank You Jesus for just letting me feel your presence again !! I have been through hell; I've almost died so many times I cant even count them all anymore. Despite my rebellion and selfishness, God has been gracious to me. I don't deserve it, yet He is Faithful to His promise that I received at 17. it's been over 20 years that I have lived backslidden, and He is treating me with such Grace, opening doors, providing, and most of all Just changing my heart again !! There is NONE LIKE OUR GOD !! I felt led to share this, because I know there are so many people that want to come back to The Lord, but don't know how. Just surrender ! He's standing with open arms, waiting for those who know His voice to turn back to Him. It took a heart wrenching tragedy for me to finally turn around, don't let it get to that point brothers and sisters. God loves you, His Grace is infinite. God Bless you, seek The Lord while He MAY be found. Thank You Guys For Staying Faithful. It's great to know that some Christian metal musicians have stayed the course. ✋ Holy Spirit Come !!

This song brought so much tears. I cannot thank Jesus enough that he came to save me from the dominion of sin, death and the devil in my life. I grew up in two Christian homes from a very young age. I had virtually no friends due to minor autism, and I had internal issues which I could not share due to fear of my parents. The trauma caused me to distance myself from them even to today. It's still hard to hang out with them due to this: The "body keeps score". God as revealed in Jesus Christ was the only one whom I felt safe with. I can recall being awake past 1am and listening to Christian music to soothe my soul. I knew Jesus was real due to apologetics (defence of the faith) which I familiarised myself with. I had encountered his presence, and I could embrace him without being afraid during those early mornings. I cried so many times over my sins and trauma. Jumping to where I am today: I have never felt closer to Jesus. I know the limitations I have due to my sin, and I know the power of his grace to overcome my sins. His presence is tangibly present with me, and he looks after me. He made me into a street preacher, an apologist, evangelist, mystic and theologian to his glory! Today my mission is to see the whole world healed and loved by Jesus Christ, the only one who can save us. Amen.

There is absolute power and power absolutely in the very name of JESUS. The mere mention of His name turns up everyone’s ears, and whether they like Him or not, you’ll know within a matter of minutes. I’ve always used the use of His name in songs as a confirmation that the people behind the song are not a part of the ‘system’. Because the system and all who are in it are of the world and they do not like His Name. They don’t like to use it, hear it, see it, and you can forget it. The Power of just saying His name will ward off any and all temptation that comes our way, but you HAVE TO KEEP SAYING HIS NAME. JUST DO IT.

I had a dream last week that I was listening to metal music (which I gave up years ago). In the dream I was shocked I was listening to metal but then I heard the lyrics and I was like “praise God! This is so good!” After that dream I decided to search KZread and found you guys! I love this so much and I will try to pray for you regularly!

@@notsop1 yeah I agree with Jessica. I stopped listening to it because it was tempting me to be angry and aggressive, which isn’t the way I want to be. Some music can make me want to feel depressed or negative. I think it’s important for us to monitor how music makes us feel and make sure we aren’t sabotaging ourselves in a way.

@@PokeTycoon For me personally, I find that not all metal gets me angry, and in the Bible it talks about how anger is not sinful if it is righteous anger. A lot of Christian bands, Impending Doom for example, have an angry sound, but they speak about forgiveness and other good stuff. I agree that you definitely shouldn’t put bad thoughts into your head and you should stop listening to it if the music puts those thoughts into your head. I try to stay away from listening to those type of lyrics while still listening to metal. However, if you found that it’s influenced you in that type of way, then I respect your decision to stop listening to it. God bless✌️✝️

Tommy is the only person I have met in my 40 years of life that I would follow into ANYWHERE and feel I’m 💯 doing Gods work. I met him in Orangevale CA and again in Roseville CA, where I was able to fellowship. His walk with God is like none other, he truly has the lords anointing. I pray for everything he does to succeed and hope to fellowship again with him in Dallas where I live now when he does make his way back.

This drummer is no joke. Not religious and don’t even really love the band but that drummer keeps me listening.

Glad to see a modern Sleeping Giant, a friend of mine at church showed me you guys about a year ago, and I've listened regularly since. I can't wait for more material! Sleeping Giant was, and is, one of my favorite bands.

shocking and yet tender... Mercy Me was one of my fav back n the day. as a drummer, Lead and Bassist These Guys are awesome. But that lead singer gives my chills and It is Awesome. very refreshing in my soul and spirit as a Sinner that I am... Thats saying a lot!

I've had dreams for years now of walking deserted paths alone, scaling mountains alone, and crossing a threshold of a mist or fog of some sort...and there being unknown places of bustling life on the other side; I couldn't figure out what that place was or why it kept calling out to me. It's the secret place. Jesus was calling me deeper, and this was the soundtrack to that revelation.
