Official Music Video for "AFRAID TO DIE" from the P.O.D. album VERITAS, featuring Tatiana Shmayluk of JINJER. Get it now on CD, LP or Download or add the song to your music library at lnk.to/P.O.D
Directed by J.T. Ibanez and Parke Fox
LYRICS:
I decided it was time for me to live but the hardest part is trying.
They say you either get busy with living or get busy dying.
You see there's only one me and I’m going to be who I’m supposed to be.
Nobody said it would be easy.
See I was never given much. Y’all wanna take that too?
But everybody gets a chance, do what you gotta do.
Can’t nobody take it from me or make me want to quit.
You only get one life, no matter what, you better live it.
When you’re with us, you’re not alone.
You’re not alone.
You’re not alone when you’re with us.
We ain’t afraid to die! We ain’t afraid of life! If the world is gonna end you
know that I’m bringing all my friends cuz we ain’t afraid to die!
I learned a long time ago that life is a gift that I’ve been given.
It’s been me against the world but I knew I’d never give in.
Life can hurt but ever since my rebirth
I stepped out of my way and discovered what I’m really
worth. So I’m free to unwind while enjoying the ride.
We catching vibes and always down to have a good time.
It’s what it is so stop living on the side lines.
Master of my fate, this is life so I’m gonna live mine.
When you’re with us, you’re not alone.
You’re not alone.
You’re not alone when you’re with us.
Nobody gets out alive!
Keep Up With P.O.D.

I was a Youth Of the Nation in 2001, now I am 38 years old, I am a father and husband. I lived my adolescence practicing Skateboarding in the streets of my city (Heredia - Costa Rica). P.O.D was always in my mornings, afternoons and nights, he went with me to university and he is constantly on my playlists while I work on my computer. I still practice SKATE but I'm slower, even so P.O.D is always in my mind. P.O.D Come to Costa Rica !!!

September 11th, 2001. I remember that was the official release date of Satellite Album. I was a Deputy Sheriff at the time. I remember thinking on Sept 10th how I needed to pick up that CD the next day. I had just worked night shift and was sleeping. I got a call from my Captain, telling me to gear up and get to the office. He said America was under attack. I turned the news in time to see the first tower fall. What a day that was. The world changed forever.

P.O.D. was probably one of the first metal bands I started listening to when I was young, and Jinjer is probably my favorite band these days. I got to see POD open for Jinjer twice, which was awesome and also stood out to really emphasize how big Jinjer was getting to have a band that sold a few platinum to multi platinum albums opening for them. P.O.D. is still killing it after all these years too.

I'm sorry to hear that. You made it this far, that's a gift. We all lost people along the way, but perhaps like they sing, we ain't afraid to die and we should bring all friends when the world is ending. Personally this song hits hard, it reminds me of the end but also tells me to not be afraid.

Lyrics "AFRAID TO DIE" (feat. Tatiana Shmayluk from Jinjer) I decided it was time for me to live but the hardest part is trying They say you either get busy with living or get busy dying You see there's only one me and I'm going to be who I'm supposed to be Nobody said it would be easy See I was never given much. Y'all wanna take that too? But everybody gets a chance, do what you gotta do Can't nobody take it from me or make me want to quit You only get one life, no matter what, you better live it When you're with us, you're not alone You're not alone You're not alone when you're with us We ain't afraid to die! We ain't afraid of life! If the world is gonna end you know that I'm bringing all my friends cause we ain't afraid to die! I learned a long time ago that life is a gift that I've been given It's been me against the world but I knew I'd never give in Life can hurt but ever since my rebirth I stepped out of my way and discovered what I'm really worth So I'm free to unwind while enjoying the ride We catching vibes and always down to have a good time It's what it is so stop living on the side lines Master of my fate, this is life so I'm gonna live mine When you're with us, you're not alone You're not alone You're not alone when you're with us We ain't afraid to die! We ain't afraid of life! If the world is gonna end you know that I'm bringing all my friends cause we ain't afraid to die! Nobody gets out alive! Out alive! Nobody gets out alive! Out alive! Gets out alive! Nobody gets out alive! Out alive! Nobody gets out alive! Out alive! We ain't afraid to die! We ain't afraid of life! If the world is gonna end you know that I'm bringing all my friends cause we ain't afraid to die!
