My first drone was visuo and after watching you fly the mavic mini. It made me compare the flight dynamics of my visuo. So I bought a mini after watching your review. And the rest is history and since then all my drones are DJi. It is still true you get what you pay for. Thank you and God bless.

I am 51 and purchased the HS175 three months ago. I had zero experience with drones so I was not comfortable paying 400 dollars until I had some experience with a cheaper one. My goal is to upgrade to a Mavic in the future. I, like you, had difficulty getting my drone calibrated and flying at first and I finally found the winning combo. Connect with RC first, then connect to phone, then turn on app and follow the calibration steps. I have to do the horizontal turns sometimes 7 or 8 times, but I rarely have to redo it or have any issue now that I am familiar with the quirks. I am addicted now to flying my drone and absolutely LOVE it. I did not have any issues at all with follow me mode, otherwise, your video was spot on with issues and recommendations. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing more videos.

Thanks for the heads up on this drone. Once I flew the Mavic Mini I tossed all my other drones like this one and now only have 4 DJI's. Mini 1, Mini2, Air 2, and Air 2s.

I think with all cosiderations the mavic mini would be a really good beginers drone. It is reliable with a good performance all round. And simplicity and reliability whats required for a beginer to gain confidence and reward in drone flying.

Yes, Mike, this one doesn't have a gimbal on the camera. I'm getting ready to send it off to Remy and John. 👍

I thought I would let you know that you had been flying with 50% power and I found my HS175 does much better against the wind with full power. Also press and hold the camera angle button instead of multiple presses.

Your way more calm .....then me .......same issues you have I had but it would be in control then out of control . My first vid it hit tree so hard ...lol it a tuff drone

I compared all the bottles behind you and noticed they are all the same as in your video two months ago. This made me come to the conclusion you don't drink enough.

I have one for a year now..yeah. needs eis!! Had problems with app crashing too, but can recover it ok . Can u attatch a small action cam on it? Good beginner drone. Never used follow mode or waypoints. Gonna definately upgrade soon. Thanks for review. Does the sound stay in sinc with the video on card?? On phone, it doesnt

Another thing with this drone no speed indicator but in flight history I believe it'll tell you a max speed for flight . Mine only achieves around 13 mph I think

not the first video I've seen with this drone that people are spinning counter clockwise rather than clockwise, lol

I would suggest going up to a HS 720 or HS 720E. Just a few bucks more and very reliable. Holy Stone's support is great. They are very responsive. It seems to me this model is too finicky and I would not recommend it to a novice flyer on the basis of this review.. That being said I would contact Holy Stone and I will bet they will ship a replacement. It seems that this unit may have issues and it has been my experience that Holy Stone will make it right.

Just found this, about a year later. Before you do a review, you should make a list of the steps you plan on executing. It seams like you get ahead of yourself and forget what you did and then blame the drone. Like when you said I am going to cancel the GPS point and then changed your mind. But it was not clear if you actually initialed the cancel and then hit return to home. So, I'm not surprised that the points dropped. If it is flying GPS, why would it need radio signal, it knows where it is going and it knows how to get back. Create a test flight plan, then start your review, check off each action as you do them so you are clear where you are in the process. You confused the heck out of me and discouraged me from looking into this drone. Fortunately, I watched some other reviews and it scored high marks. Just my 2 cents.

I made the mistake of purchasing this drone, there is a 5 second delay between the drone and the fpv. It is very irritating.

Yes, the FPV lag is insanely bad.

Ugh! Seems flaky. Those app and motor unlock issues are unfortunate. Holy Stone drones are usually decent especially for beginners however my HS720E just went berserk on me when landing and flew off and crashed. Thankfully it is ok but had to replace all the props but now I'm scared to fly it so I have to go the park and fly it again to finish the review

I'm gonna say the drone you have there is doing horrible ...the one I got does a little better than that luckily 😂 especially with the controller distance cutting out . I tend to lose my wifi signal way before I lost controller signal on mine

That park that I fly in has a lot of wifi interference too. 👍

I got this drone and on 2nd day, when it is flying around 16mtrs height, suddenly, GPS mode is lost (I've been flying in the middle of the city) , a lil bit of gust came from the other side and the drone flew off without control and fell into the lake 500mtrs away. Auto return home function when out of range or 'return to home' button didn't work at all. I had a very shitty experience and NO DRONE NOW. I'd recommend not to buy these unreliable products. Better save up and get a DJI.
