love the new intro! holystone turn out some really good budget friendly drones, ive seen a few reviewers speaking very highly of them.

Holystone was my first dive into drones and was happy with the performance for the price. I've since moved on an up but such a great company to start out IMHO

as always great review, the drone itself is not bad at all, also the discout is great, the only think for me is the weight, I rather stay with the sub 250 G. and a foldable type that you can take with you on vacation is a great feature. Thanks Steve.

@JeremyMcGowan - How did you do? Mine arrive today also. I have to note that I am not crazy about the remote which feels kinda cheap (my 12 max iPhone also doesnt seem to stay attached.) The unlock props and lock button seemed to not work constantly which did not help my confidence. I am going back and fourth if I should return and get a DJI (i.e., the Mavic Mini 2.)

@@Applecompuser I haven’t gotten a chance to fly it yet because it was night time when it was delivered. Going to try it out today after work. I agree about the remote. It does feel kinda cheap and my iPhone 12 and 13 both do not fit in the holder. I’ll have to keep an eye out for the lock button issues. Hopefully it wasn’t a poor purchase for both of us!

@@jeremymcgowan5172 I am checking back in. I sent the second Holy Stone back and am receiving the DJI Mini 2 Thursday. I am having a real blast using the drones and was even outside during 8 degree weather this weekend. I may, within the 15 day time period, upgrade from the Mini 2 to the Air 2. This feels like a good hobby for me after work and the girlfriend, my classes etc etc. best to ya.

Impressive little drone. Camera mode not too bad. Looks like a great beginner drone.

I've just purchased my first drone which is this one based on you're video and passed my CAA in England. Exciting weekend ahead 🤞👍

2023 The body is very aerodynamic with no sharp edges for wind resistance! Very smooth Teflon like skin! The discount version ($209)only includes ONE battery to start. HEADLESS MODE actually is useful if a drone is bumped or spun around and close to crashing (indoor drones especially) headless will often prevent an unnecessary crash into objects and enable the drone to be returned to normal orientation. Then mode can be retired!! Too bad all you demo guys are scared to do waypoints over actual objects or those metal fences to test for signal interference. It's also cool to see a drone turn around on its own without disorientation & fly away as can happen in manual steering!

Will receive one tomorrow (found a great clippable coupon + coupon code making it less than $80 on Amazon). So glad to see it’s a good one!

@@Applecompuser my HS720E is more than a year already and has no problem at all. I really enjoyed flying it and taking great videos and pictures. But I recommend buying the latest models from holystone, just always follow the pre flying checklist and you are good to go!👍

In the future could you use a wind meter (krestel) it helps to show wind speed and temp especially in wintertime.

great video ! just got one of these and am starting out. What camera are you using on your hat to film this ? and are you switching live between that and the drone or is it all done in post,? do you have an assistant doing the switching or is that done by you on the fly?...would love to see a video on how you make these videos as i want to make some like this about my drone flights looking at wildlife

Bought one 3 months ago and it was fairly amusing for that time but some misadventures have made it less so. Camera doesn't want to tilt.

I quit flying because of the wind in my area. I only have an HS 120D so it's not great in the wind. I love it on a calm day but I dont get many of those.

Cool drone

I watched tons of your videos and ended up getting a DJI Mini 2. It's the only drone I've ever flown. However, I haven't seen one of these budget drones come close in video quality to what I've gotten from the DJI Mini 2. I believe if I would have bought one of these budget drones I would have flown it a few times and gave up on it. So to anyone reading, if you're serious about photography and/or video, start out with a DJI if you can. $450 isn't far from this drone. Unless Captain Drone argues otherwise, it's not a photo-IQ continuum between budget drones and the DJI minis, it's a quantum leap. BTW, I had emailed you about doing a video about an FPV drone to complement my MIni. I found someone to custom build one for me. The more I use the DJI mini the more I think it'll take me months if not years to master what I have. That's another thing. I cannot see outgrowing the mini that I have.

Funny in the uk it's been so windy like on hurricane levels last night . One thing I hate more than snow and rain and that's annoying wind 🤬
