4 and a half years later, this is still one of the best post Rock/metal albums i've heard.

Fuck me... this is the sound I’ve been looking for...
Amazing! Such a variety of styles and sounds. I hear Slowdive, Deftones, Alcest, Autumn for Crippled Children, Doom Metal-esque tempos and the emotion of SDBM

Best album of 2018.
One of my favourite Post Rock Album. Seer and Dark Stone are fantastic. And I listen to this album while driving through the mountains of Cantal. Pure orgasm (visual and audible).
Laying in bed, wasted; trying to recreate that feeling I once had when I first heard this masterpiece of an album.
Man, just found this album a few days ago and I can say without a doubt that this is the most beautiful album to come out in the past decade. Not only a completely outstanding album from an audio standpoint but also just a superb work of art. I've listened to music that blends clean, airy, and beautiful sounds with harsh, abrasive sounds but this is a whole different level. The abrupt and jarring transitions just further push the masterful juxtaposition of the spacey shoegaze riffs and the crushingly massive walls of sound that just crash down like waves. Then when you get used to Dark Stone and Arrows going from floaty clean guitar to massive distortion and screaming vocals Drag Me Into the Woods subverts this by having the first transition just be a few notes of heavy distortion with the screams actually behind the airy guitars and the cleans. Simply wonderful. This is album is just an absolute masterpiece from start to finish. 10 out of 10, a perfect, gorgeous, gem of a record.

Perfectly said my friend. These guys are absolutely perfect in every sense. Love them so much.
Drag Me Into The Woods is hypnotic until they blow the roof off! 10/10
clicked on this thinking it was frank iero's death spells. im pleasantly surprised with what i have stumbled upon. i was looking for albums similar to SNW by the deftones, and the world has answered my wishes. this music has so much emotion, and is definitely going to be staying with me for a while.
Heard the distortion came in at 0:27 ... hitting like button instantly.

The genre is called Deftones. And it’s perfect okay and natural to love it.
i would do anything to listen to this for the first time again
I decided to put this album on again tonight. It’s snowing out, and will be for a few more months up here in the north. I head outside and keep listening as I light up a cigarette, puffing on smoke as snow blows into my face, the music drowning out the cold. I see a rabbit run across the snow half a dozen feet in front of me. I hear coyotes and foxes in the distance. The foxes are probably the same ones I see on the hill across the street a couple times a month. The music blares as I feel the snow melt against my face, nature moving around me in my remote home. And the music blends in perfectly. This is why I love Holy Fawn. They may come from the desert of Arizona, as I did once, but their music is a force of nature.
This is old-school distorted Nadja, meets SigurRos, meets Deafhaven, meets Envy, meets something really on its own!
This is going to be with me forever.
One of the most beautifuls albums i've heard in my life. Thank you so much for posting it. Greetings from Argentina!💜
This kinda sounds like Slowdive that went into trying death metal and then came back deciding to make post-metal weird thingy... and it's fucking great
Looked these guys up because I'm gonna be seeing them with Deafheaven Wednesday. I think it's safe to say this is gonna be a fucking killer show.
Reminds me of Alcest, loving it

I know it’s been a few years, but check out “Yearning” by MONO. Good post-rock group, and that song encapsulates the emotions you felt when you typed this comment.
Seer is one of the more important songs in this kind of genre in the past few years. Same for the whole album, but this song stands out in its importance
Gotta be the dopest album to come out in the last 20 years...unbelievablely beautifully murdered.
Got to meet the lead singer last night at the Senate in Columbia SC. He was so nice and kind to us and even chatted with us for a while. First time I ever heard of them or knowing they existed, and it was them playing live.....I became a fan instantly and had to get the record. That's what I love the most is going to shows and finding bands like this out of random in person.

Good Lord... It's a darkness that shines through the entirity of inner self absence.
It is 9:10pm (est), 9/14/2018. I've just finished listening to the album, which may be one of the BEST post-rock albums I've heard. So far, I'll say, "Dark Stone", "Yawning", "Seer", "Vespertine" were all astonishing. I say "so far" because I want to listen to this again at another time and see how it feels. This is something to live with and not make a judgement call the first listen through. Later. Now it's 2:10pm (est) 9/15/2018. I've just finished another listen-through but this time in broad daylight. Light or dark, this IS one of the BEST post-rock records I've heard. Possibly, so far, THE best one with vocals. "Dark Stone" is a f**king miracle. I think since this record is mixed in creamy density, it posits the fact that it isn't necessarily percussion-based which makes each track celebrate plasticity. So many times, in other albums, I've heard the idea in the 1st minute of the song then an elaboration on that idea. Holy Fawn takes their sound and twists it honestly, which is to say, not just for effect. Then there's the crescendo cliche that Holy Fawn deconstructs with a flick of the switch. No gimmicks. All follow-through. And, by the way, I listened to it twice completely sober. When it was over, each time, I was stoned. For me, that's "stoner". A musical contact high. Holy Fawn's "Death Spells" is the highest of the high. Outstanding.

Truly an outstanding audio experience. The tracks and their mixing are clearly a result of thorough experimentation and deep passion. I'd love to hear your opinion on Explosions in the Sky's album Take Care, Take Care, Take Care. The harping guitar upon marching drums sends me to heaven and the haunting reverberated voices bring tears down my face. Every. Fucking. Time. Even when I'm emotionally grounded. Especially "Let Me Back In"; such elegant power... I like to think that that album's sound resonates with my soul's natural frequency. I just can't explain the magnitude of the effect and I've never had that before. Reading your thoughts, it seemed you're an interesting person and thought I should share an equivalent experience of mine too. Totally different kind of post-rock, but that's why I'd love to hear your opinion on it.

adior8ot0s Thank you for the kind comments. Funny thing, the EITS record you'd like my opinion on is the ONLY one I haven't listened to as yet. I will attempt this and let you know what I thought. I sincerely doubt I'll be as affected by it as you have been, but it will be fascinating and intriguing to see. Give me some time, however. But I'll be as expeditious as possible. Thanx again.

Stellar! Stellar commentary! In agreement!
Man, this channel never fails to deliver.
Metal-gaze! Anyway, WherePostRockDwells YT channel landed me here quite handedly, readily, and without any resistance...I live in Phx, time to seek out this really GREAT Arizona band locally! BTW: This album 'vibe' distinctly reminds me of the album: {Songs of Darkness, Words of Light} from the band: My Dying Bride, in particular their track: 'My Wine in Silence'
Omg... that's insane
this deserves 1 million views at least
Getting mad A Perfect Circle vibes but this is still so damn unique and emotional. It is cool that I was in high school orchestra with one of the members.
man, this one is deep.
Somehow reminds me of Stabbing Westward. Im talking about 25 years ago...me and my friends, on the road, driving and wandering... still!
Holy shit! Another gem... amazing
Really cool guys in person too. We had the opportunity to open for them when they were touring earlier this year for this album. Amazing live show, great guys, great music. Total win across the board.

holy fawn hits exactly where it hurts
Amazing music. One of my favorites from this year. Deep, reflective yet heavy and intense, I really enjoyed this album. Also, this album can also be defined as post-black metal.
Wspaniała muza post rockowo metalowa dająca radość sluchaczowi z jakże zacnego vokalu a także zajebistych rytmów gitar basu i perkusji to jest to moc i potęga wjednym 🖤🖤🖤🖤🤘😈perfekt.
Great album, and an awesome band to check out live if you can. I’ve seen them twice now and it’s a religious experience.
