    I agree that the Cannone sounds more "open". The Plowden and to a lesser degree the David seem rather "tight" both in the lower and higher registers. These comparisons are "interesting" but depend upon the quality of the recording technique and the quality of the playback equipment as well. Take this all with a grain of salt as being the comments as a non-player who just happens to love the sound of instruments made with strings and natural wood. BTW might it not be possible that both the Plowden and David will open up after being played for a few years?
