    From someone who has over 20 years experience in high performance engines, etc, etc myself, I can tell you that this guy is one of the few who makes videos & actually really knows what he is talking about! There are definitely others, but most making videos have a half ass understanding, &/or don't have a clue, & giving bad information. This is one you should listen to.

    @@theholleyefiguy quick question regarding O2 sensors and closed loop...if I leave the learning off below 2200rpm per the example in the video, does the O2 still work in that instance? Reason being you see lots of sensor crap out early due to not warming up properly etc...will that help it?

    I was at my wits end trying to get my cold start parameters to work. Nothing I did made a difference! Now I know that unlike an OEM ECU, the fuel modifiers will not work unless it's in closed loop. Turned off the temp requirement for CL and BOOM, everything started working properly! Thanks Devin!

    Great job in explaining. I’ll have to watch it a few more times but I’m getting closer.

    Great presentation of data. Similar to the Dynojet Power Commander autotune for the motorcycles. Limiting the fuel trim would have saved the motor after a O2 sensor went bad in the middle of a roadrace event Keep up the great work!

    Learned something new today. Thank you. I didnt know you could change the values in the learn table before applying it to the base. It never occurred to me to try to change it. It brings a question to mind too. In your example learn table, it shows a large fuel change at 6400 and 27 psi. Now in your example the surrounding cells are relative graduated leading up to the high change in that one cell. However, if the surrounding cells were relatively low changes, say 1-3% and then suddenly you had a 10-15% change in one cell, if the 3d graph was smooth in that area would you be inclined to disregard that one cell or at least change that cell to more match the surrounding cells? Or do you take the learn table as gospel?

    How does smoothing the tables make it better or does it? I have quite a bit of a lean 15.7 in cruise areas and wide open in the 12.5. Same for the spark tables. Should I do a smooth all? Thank you for all your info and videos. 👏👏

    It's 8 to 12 after the collector to make sure you get a reading of more than one or two primaries, turbo outlet is already mixed so it can be right at the outlet.

    Except if its right after the turbo you'll melt the sensor So like I said ideally 12-18 inches

    @@theholleyefiguy so you can mount a Bosch before the turbo with pressure compensation and it's fine, but to close after and it will melt? We have one a few inches away, but we are only making 1800HP, maybe with higher power it's an issue?

    @@theholleyefiguy Try what, the O2 right after the turbo? Been that way for a while now. Ran E98 and Q16. changing to twins, so not sure if it will stay as exhaust might be longer than 14" in the new setup. Or if you are talking about 02 before the turbo, can you explain why there would be controllers that do back pressure compensation? Not like you need that N/A, supercharged, or on spray.

    I have been battling the same lean condition at low rpm and idle....So am I correct in assuming that if my tuner is telling me that I need to move my O2's into my primaries so he can get my open header racecar to idle I need to find a more competent tuner?

    Did ya get your problem figured out? I think I have the same problem. I’ve manually tuned it in open loop but it’s showing 20-40:1 afr. False lean from what I understand, likely due to the aggressive cam.

    What if I'm running a twin turbo set up with the holley terminator x ? It only has the capability to only run one oxygen sensor? Doesn't twins need one on each bank?

  • @JOettel325

    @JOettel325

    You don't "have" to have an O2 on each bank. The Dominator will average both sides. The terminator X will just take that side only. Still works just fine for lots of people.

    Personally if it was me I would run a AFR gauge to the side I’m not monitoring with the terminator, so you could at least compare and have a reading in the cab
