Amen, sister Mckee. My parents raised my siblings in an apostolic church but were never strict on the way we dressed (or at least on the youngest kids) and it lead me to dress in a way that was displeasing to God and I never sought a relationship with God. A few months ago, however (after I've been baptized years ago), I established having a prayer life and began to grow in my relationship with Jesus Christ and then He began to convict me and change me. I no longer find holiness to be a burden or legalism but now I uphold holiness inwardly and outwardly in obedience to the Spirit of God.

Wow Sis McKee this is beautiful teaching on holiness. Im seeing more and more our apostolic Pentecostal churches are no longer teaching us this …therefore our newbies are left on their own due to lack of teaching how to live as a Christian. Under a new pastor, seeing things, I was concerned for my husband who didn’t have the Holy Ghost yet…I was told “ I don’t teach standards”. God bless you.

Also please you said when God said we should follow a certain way HE knew we can do that, but when you mention about God asking us to be perfect, there you said no-one can be perfect. Why? if God says to be perfect then HE knows we can be perfect else HE would not put that in the Bible. We can become perfect through the strength of Christ, therefore we Christians ought to pray to Jesus to help us to be perfect whiles we are also making all the effort to abstain from sin. May the Lord help us

If we break one law , we break them all. The Bible says, "our righteousness is as filthy rags". No matter how much we try, we cannot make ourselves holy. Only the blood of Christ does. Is gluttony acceptable in the "standard" of holiness? Is it not a sin? "Glorify God in your body" may apply in this issue as well. What about the over indulgence of food among Christians? And is it okay to wear dresses, grow long hair and gossip? Can we not just face the truth, that "obedience " to Christ does not mean women have to adhere to strict dress codes to be godly and Christ-like? Long hair that's never been cut does not make someone holier than a woman who has had her hair cut. Evidence of a Christian is how we treat others, give love, share food, help bear burdens of others, and such. True religion and undefiled is to visit the widows, the prisoners, clothe the naked, and feed the hungry. God doesn't care how you are dressed while you serve others and help people.

Peter says I die daily, thus we must walk in daily repentance and not continue on sinning just because His blood covers us. Jesus’ blood gives us ALL a chance to enter into Heaven but how we live on earth dictates if we can actually get in. Jesus died for ALL but not all will live righteously and inherit the Kingdom of God! “Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:7-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I think we need to recognize that pastorates and organizations are NOT the Father or the Head of the individuals, they are the brothers and sisters of them in the body. They need to stop the stance of superiority in knowledge and let the individual follow God for themselves.

Please as you are teaching the church about holiness, which God ask us to be is inside out practice see 2 corinthians 7 verse 1. Therefore the Bible commands women to cover their hair whiles in the presence of God. You cannot practice holiness as a woman and leave your hair uncovered when teaching, praying, and reading the Bible. You must also please use the Bible instead of tablet or any gadget. Thank you.

@@nohandlebravo if your uncut hair is your covering how Will you explain verse 5,6, and verse 13 all from 1 Corinthians 11. Verse 14 and 15 is simply teaching us how a man and a woman should keep their hair, is forbidden for a woman to cut their hair as is given to them as their glory whiles is not good for a man to grow their hair. Let's note that when man grows his hair it makes him looks like a woman, also not gentle. The Lord is gentle does how the Bible describes him.Matthew 11 verse 29. My advise to you is to seek the knowledge of His word. Remember these verses, Hosea 4 verse 6, and Provides 19 verse 2a. May the Lord gives you wisdom on HIS word. Amen

@@thedriverj_ Dear Julian, please note that Satan even quoted the Bible, I do not mean the preacher is Satan but just to bring you to the understanding that not everyone who uses the Bible is from has the insight. The Pharisees were using the Torah but they miss the understanding of the word. See what Paul said in Romans 9 verse 31-33. Also read Romans 9 verse 1-5 and ask yourself why Paul wanted to cut off from Christ for the Jews and was in great sorrow over them. Even though Christ came through them ,they did not have the knowledge of the word of God to acknowledge Him as the Messiah. Read Romans 10 verse 1-4. A lot of people are preaching from the Bible but have not, the knowledge of God's word, some also preach half truth, some preaches 99 truth and leaves the one behind. Some are ignorant, some do not want to loose their members, but James 2 verse 10 says please read. The Bible has warned us, some because of their stomach read Philippians 3 verse 18 - 19, 2 Timothy 3 verse 5-9.Jesus says in John 14-6 that HE is the way the truth and the life. Jesus is the truth it means only truth nothing but the truth will make us accomplish our journey to Heaven. Truth is truth there is not little lies in truth that why John 8verse 32 says you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. If you have not the truth you can't be set free from God's judgement.May God help us Amen

Mrs. McKee, you seem to be a kind woman in general, but you're also using shaming tactics, and in my opinion, that causes a disconnect. Comparing women to being either a goat or a sheep and your take on goats looking for a loophole? I don't see that symbolism about women anywhere in the Bible, not to mention, your assumption of why a woman would want to wear pants? 🤷🏻‍♀️ In my opinion, a woman who wears pants bought in the women's department of a store is wearing women's apparel; she isn't trying to "be" or act like a man, and she certainly isn't trying to blur the gender distinctions. A drag queen would be a good example of trying to blur the gender distinctions. A woman wearing a man's tie? Maybe. If that's the case, there may be a need to change the uniform of the Pentecostals of Alexandria Choir. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Again, it's only my opinion, but going from women's pants to rebellion to witchcraft is a huge leap. First of all, your stringing scriptures together and taking them out of their contexts. Anyone can make a new tradition and make the Bible say whatever they want by doing that. For example: If the Lord tells you to go to someone and apologize and you don't, because you may not be ready to, depending on the offense, is that considered disobedience, too? Is that the same as rebellion and witchcraft? There is no grace found there. Did Jesus die in vain, or is His blood not sufficient to make us wholly HOLY? I agree, we need and must repent and ask for forgiveness every moment; and with the help of the Holy Spirit; we will. The Bible says that our righteousness is as filthy rags, but for the grace of God. Pants bring made into witchcraft? Not sure that qualifies here. Years ago, all of Israel wore tunics. Today, we would consider them, dresses. ( Albeit, different lengths, but dresses, still.) If you would like to hold to your conviction of wearing dresses everyday; that is completely fine and good; but I implore you to please stop shaming women for not sharing your ideology. It's not only unkind, but the UPCI women before the 1950's wore pants AND jewelry. Perhaps you may want to look into it. 🙏🏻🌷
