Holiday Buggy on the Beach at Sunset

Hi all. Just a bit of run footage from the beach the other day. The brushless DT-02 Holiday Buggy was great down there and the low sun makes it all rather picturesque. Also a bit of footage from the New Forest. Many thanks indeed for watching. Please like and comment and all that 😁👍

Lovely video there. Very easy to watch repeatedly. The DT02 is a very underated chassis and a lot of fun to drive. Looks great with the Holiday Buggy and Sand Rover bodies and Carson buggy wheels. Thanks for sharing.☺️👍

Yeah some of the vintage chassis stand the test of time but the original Holiday Buggy chassis had too many flaws and not really great handling. The DT-02 is super reliable and the handling is great. It bothers me a bit that it's too wide and I have narrowed the track.of the front wheels on mine. Many thanks indeed for your great feedback. Much appreciated 😁👍

Hi there. Yeah I saw the sun come out and quickly grabbed the RC and got myself down to the beach to capture it. Oh yes that lump on the grass has featured many times on my channel. I'm normally a bit better at landing the cars and I gave up because of the danger of breaking the Holiday Buggy roof. Many thanks indeed for watching and your great comments 😁👍

Hi there. Yeah I don't take any of the more complex 4wd RC's to the beach as the sand goes in everywhere but a simple little 2wd like this is perfect. Many thanks indeed for your great feedback 😁👍

Ahhh... Bootiful, Pete! Love the action on the beach, the perfect place for a Holiday Buggy! Looks like you had a good time out there, and then we got a few bonus shots of the car in the New Forest - excellent! Great video mate, enjoy the rest of your Sunday - Cheers! 😎👌👍

Hiya mate. Yeah I had those shots at the New Forest but there weren't really enough to make a video so I went down to the beach to get more footage and the low sun made it look great. I stole the signature Mark Bryan screwing quickly music at the end there 🤣 Cheers for watching mate 😁👍👍

Absolutely devine piece of videography there Pete! The layering and definition of the landscape tones and colours on the beach was beautiful. With the sun glowing and reflecting off the waves, the tide merging with the shore, as the silhouette of the buggy sprays sand leaving its footprint behind for the tide to smooth over once more! Lovely relaxing ambient vibe..... Then all of a sudden we switch to the usual 'cars flying through the air and bouncing relentlessly out of control' carnage on the forest heaths that we have come to love and expect from the man like Mr Wylie!!! Delightful mate! 😊 👍 👍 👍

Hi there. Oh you are too kind. Really the light down there and the GoPro did most of the work on this one. I guess it was me that noticed that the sun was out and it was low tide and rushed down there to get some shots. Really I just wanted a few more shots to bulk out the footage I already had from the forest but the beach became the main part of the video. Thank you again for your excellent feedback. Always appreciated my friend 😁👍👍

NIce vid Pete. The first half really shows how the Holiday Buggy is suited to the beach, it looked much more at home there than going over the jump in the forest. I do have to deduct a point though for the lack of any Willie jokes in this vid though, shame on you mate....

I’ve got myself one of these awesome Tamiya’s too…going to attempt to make the body not blue ?🧐🫣🤔 nice to see that the DT-02 gearbox can take some brushless power too….that too might be a future one 😊😊 I see you have some different wheels and tyres, are they the Carson ones? They look good on the car😊😊best wishes to you and the family 😊

Hiya John. Ooh good luck with changing the colour of the Holiday Buggy. I think it's ok to do this so long as you don't actually run it 😂 Yeah the DT-02 gearbox is super tough. This has a steel pinion gear though. Yes it has the Carson wheels. Not as good off road as the standard spikes and grooves but they look more scale. Have fun with the build my friend. Many thanks for your great comments. Best wishes to you and yours 😁👍

Nice video. Out of interest what setting did you have your GoPro on when you filmed at the beach? My 7 Black would over compensate for the low sun, and the light conditions that brings, and the footage would be too bright. This also happens when I film in woodland because of the intermittent or dappled light coming through the trees. Your footage looks perfect.

Hiya Derek. I haven't done anything clever with the camera, it's all just default settings. It's just on 4k 120fps. This is the Hero 10 and maybe they have improved the image processing compared to the 7? Cheers for watching mate. Much appreciated 😁👍
