you need a software licence for the LV1, a computer and a server, that's all

The problem is finding a stage box for a reasonable amount of money compatible with soundgrid/lv1. Unless you can find one cheep second hand. This is my biggest gripe with LV1 there's no competitive way in, so you might as well stick to a sq5/or m32 and grab a waves card at some point.

What are you going to plug your mics into thin air? And how are you going to Solo your channels FOH? Were are your headphones and FOH monitors going to plug in? Talk back etc... Your going to need interfaces and they're way overpriced... The only thing thats reasonably priced is the fit controller and the netgear switch. I wouldn't advice anyone run the server on a Mac mini. If you're good at I.T you can build decent a decent host/server. If you buy everything you actually need from waves it's around 12k. I can buy an avantis or SD9 for 10k
