Hey Joe, I find the Real Drive mode is just what the dr ordered when it comes to me letting my son and his friends drive the trucks. Cuz you know every kid just loves to do full throttle reverse to full throttle forward and watch it do wheelies and such…. This way he drives it more like he should and is just a lot easier on the ole drivetrain.

It's a cool feature but most the time we need instant reverse. But still a neat function. Love the video👍

I got the ISDT esc (link from ur video awhile ago). I like it! 3s/1300 up front, setup thru my S22 ultra. Smoooooth on my gen8 v2.

I can see many people launching their crawlers off a cliff over a ledge in real drive mode, I'm not a big fan of that but drag brake on the fly is nice, basically castles brushless set up..

I just installed this combo 555 13t 5 slot in my Vanquish Phoenix. Fits perfectly no cutting, no grinding. Thanks for showing us this motor ESC combo. 👍

i feel like the "real drive" thing is for those people who add hundreds of grams of weight up high on their body just to look "scale". i could see it being more "scale" to have to shift into reverse. also definitely more of a trail truck thing. as far as i can tell the g2 is the same price as the g1 so its not like your paying extra for it so more options = more better. also really hope the adjustable drag brake makes it on to more hobbywing ESCs, like the fusion. its something i love about my mamba x

You mentioned that this is close to the 1800kv. In your opinion would the 11T be close to the 2300kv quicrun?

I was just looking at this motor esc for a truck I'm building. Hoping to have built for BTC.. Wasn't finding many reviews of this combo, seems to be pretty good for the money..

I’m torn right now between the fusion se and the setup you are using in this video. What are the pros and cons? I have a Gen 8 and it’s 11.2lbs. I do some rock crawling, but mostly trails and creeks, rocs and mud.

My question is for your next tire test comparison , have you ever tested the Jetko crawler contenders ? I think they look good but i do t know if they're anygood there is not much info about that tire . By the way you realy improved that's gen9 .👍

Very useful information, really appreciate. i am a beginner in rc world, and i've a question related to brushed esc, battery and brushed motor. whether the number of cells in the battery can cause a short circuit on the esc ? Previously I used HW 1080 with a 5 slot 20T bruahed motor, the battery I used was 3S 5200 mah, at first it went well, but then the RC could not be moved, when I observed it, I found the esc was hot, end when i use 60A esc, the esc was lit and burn, can I get an explanation from a any of you here regarding what I experienced. what caused it and how to prevent it from happening again in the future. thank you so much for helping.

I don't need 4S...2S is fine and 3S is great for me. I'm not a basher-crawler.

The real drive would probably be cool in like a remote control semi setup with a trailer extra scale

So how did u get the drag brake to hold so steady or is the truck just real light like no weight ?

I'm not sure i would swap my old 1080 for the g2, yes its good to have the 8.4v option but personally i'm happy with 7.4v. Also that new driving feature looks weird as, not sure i would use it if i had it.

Drag brake adjustment is awesome... Wonder if isdt will add that to their software. Also, when are you throwing a light creep body on that thing lol.

Hey Joe I got a question.. how would this do n say a 8lb vehicle?

The Real Drive is a fun option (a bit gimmicky, maybe) but good for trailing. Also, limits abuse to the gearbox from slamming it from one direction to the other. Dont like it, just turn it off (pretty easy!) 🤷🏻‍♂️

wow i just asked you about this setup at 7p and you post a video on it at 10 p ! for $62 -$70 they do 11,13,30,or 40 turn 5 slot motor .

It would look better with someone driving . Someone needs to make some lightweight drivers in a few sizes .
