Your grandfather is a real treasure. I never really got to know my grandfather's. My father's dad died in 1936 and my mom's dad died in 1963. I only have a few memories of my Mom's Dad so you have something that's really special. His health is well enough that you can get out and make memories with him. I'm 64 going on 65 and I got sick about 3 years ago after getting hurt 20 years ago to the point where I couldn't work no more. I am useless now and I envy him,,,,, in a good way. You gotta search the coins and look for Silver coins and valuable copper stuff. Because there may be more money in the coins than anywhere else. I know you know this- I'm old so shoot me! Please.. That bank bag is from her being most likely being a Rural Route Carrier United States Postal Service. The orange envelopes is for ordering stamps by mail. The brown envelopes are left with articles that where short on postage. The carrier is paying the short postage and leaving the article with the brown envelope for the customer to pay them back. This saves the customer from driving into the Post Office to pay for the shortage of postage and delaying them from receiving the letter. We jokingly called it our retirement plan.

Maybe you could hold on to the photos in case some family comes back for them not knowing their grandmother owned a storage ? Maybe just for a little while? That happened to me, I lost everything into storage when an ex stopped paying his half of the bill and didn’t tell me about it. Lost tons of my childhood items and it crushed me. Cool find though!!! 👏🏼😄

I bet all that loose change added up to a good total. I would check it all for silver (pre 1965), judging on how old the cards and stamps are. Stamps are always useful. You will make a sweet profit on that unit.

My wife and I love your channel. We are near Pops age, and we love him. If any of our kids bought storage units we would have a great time helping. Remember, without Pops you would not realise the value of some of the items. Also he is quite right saying, "Don't throw things on the floor", it'd double handling and hard work to pick up all the rubbish. Put it in a trash bag or bin straight away. We wish you much success. My wifes parents recently died and in cleaning out the house we topped out at over 22K. in one day we found over 11K$. All of it seemed to be left over cash from there many trips put away in small change purses. What was left from the march trip was put away and forgot. The April trip was a new withdrawal from the bank. This was from over 20 years of trips. Hundred of rolls of yarn.

As soon as I saw your Papa, my eyes started to water uncontrollably. He looks so much like my beloved Daddy (who I actually called "Papa") who passed away in February of 2019 at the age of 89, of cancer. Your Papa even sounds like my Daddy....and yes, he was always Daddy to my sister and I who are both supreme Daddy's girls. We miss him so much! But your Papa gave me an ever so brief look at my Daddy again. Thank you for caring enough to spend time with him. It seems like the elderly and wise are no longer appreciated like they used to be.... I can't wait to find out the end result of this unit! There's cash EVERYWHERE!! No wonder you're going through every bit of paper with a fine-tooth comb. I look forward to the next video! New subscriber, by the way.... God bless...❤
