This is really good! The Phantom looked the best in the Royal Navy paint scheme
Opening shot looks like sailing out of Valetta grand harbour.

At 2:37 reminds me of opening credits of The Love Boat 😂
Three miles of sausages?? Surely not. But then I worked it out. That's just one sausage a day for each of the crew for just 19 days.
Excellent, Very many thanks for all these new films. I was on the Odin....(thanks for the odin film ) but i was also on HMS Herald in 1978 doing a survey in Ghana NW Africa. Whilst there we were filmed for a RN Survey film....hoping this comes up sometime amongst your "new" films .....Cheers Mike Ilett ( BOB / SKIPPY )

@@Hants_PrintsRussian submarines never followed HMS Ark Royal, Eagle or Hermes because they were too small and insignificant. They were after bigger game: the American supercarriers.
"3 miles of sausages". :)
Wooden steering wheel 😮
Compared to today ,might as well been firing cannon balls 😅
I notice @4:47 that the Gannet's strop goes into the water and is not retained like the Phantom and Buccaneer ones. Also, I wonder if this was the cruise when Ark Royal collided with a Soviet ship? @14:05 you see Raymond Lygo who was her captain from 1969-71.
