Would Apple have swapped to USB-C if it wasn't for the EU?? 🤔

You can all thank EU for USB-C
USB C was in other Apple products ... except iPhones, they could have done it a lot earlier.
Apple NEVER waited, they only made this change because the EU forced them to. "Waited" implies that they had the intention to change but didn't, they never had that and the only thing they had in mind was $$$.

Apple has been transitioning to usb c since ipad pro 2018. Your statement is right and wrong at the same time. Transition was just expedited like 2-3years earlier.
Might as well have governmenr department that focuses in these compliance. Like imagine a world where everything is USB C. Like literally. Even HDMI becomes usb c.. headphone jack becomes USB C everything. That's pure convenience right there.
Sick vid homie. I love that we hit publish within a minute of each other hahaha
I’m sure Apple would have made a proprietary usb-c-based lightning adapter if not for EU

@@JoshuaChang I have a feeling if it weren’t for the EU,, we would’ve still gotten lightning this year. I wonder what’s gonna happen once Apple goes portless.
Great vid brother! Stoked we got to hang at Kando
I was waiting for your video! Thanks for getting it out so fast 🙌
The delusion of Apple fans is beyond me. There is no backstory as to why Apple are only now switching to type-C. It's purely because the EU has forced them to do so. And the fact this guy can tell you with a straight face that Apple doesn't want to sell you additional adapters and connectors should tell you just how deluded this guy is.
Apple wait until UE made the rule 😂😂😂.....and if it's not because of UE i doubt they will change to usb type c, cuz lighting port are one of the money printing machines for them
The EU forced them to make the change end of story
Apple: If They changed charging to USB-C Everyone: *Backlash* Apple: Release in 2023 Everyone: *Backlash*
Lightning was actually born from Apple contributing to the USB Forum for what would be called USB-C. Which was initially started by Intel to create a standardized port that would also be cross compatible with their Thunderbolt protocol. Apple played a big part along with Intel in designing USB-C. But USB-C was taking too long for Apple, so they took their contributions, inverted the pins and called it Lightning (sound familiar?)
Great explanation! Can’t wait for my friends and parents to complain about Apple changing the port again - when they do, I will send them this video to explain!

Apple changed it, because EU forced them to do so.
If you don't want to sit through 8 minutes of this guy slobbing Apple's knob, just skip to 6:49.
It’s so funny to see people praising the switch to USB-C and whining about how hard it was to have two cords before. As if one cord was twice as thick and heavier, like it was a giant extension cord. I have both a C and Lightning cable in my duel port car charger and home charger. If I have to travel, the weight of one cord vs two is not even noticeable and wouldn’t take up extra room. And having chargers with more than one port isn’t exactly expensive compared to the cost of replacing all your lightning compatible accessories. I’ve never had a cord and break, If the end has a bad connection. Cleaning it off or rubbing a piece of sand paper fixes it.
Skip to 4:24 to avoid the history of iphone chargers and get straight to the why
It’s defs time for me to upgrade from my 13 Pro lol, nice video my guy
thanks a lot 🙏🙏 Does Apple offer the ideal cable for the new iPhone pro Max? That means: What kind of cable should I buy? best regards 🎈
The only reason they’ve replaced this outdated port is the marketshare they’d lose not being able to sell their products in that landmass taking space from Portugal to Poland/Finland.
Is it true that Apple can still customise the charging speed and other functions on the USB-C even if it’s not proprietary standard like Lighting?
@anires1195
9 ай бұрын
no? the reason why there are two different ones is one is USB 2.0 and the pro model uses the standard USB 3 speeds.
@Leonardoooo_

@@anires1195 Actually I’ve read that they are the same in both models you only need a charger and a cable that supports that speed.
I have creative SXFI TRIO headphones (TYPE-C connector) , How to use in iPhone 13 pro max ( converts to buy )
In compliance with EU hehe
I’m relatively happy about the usb-c switch, but I do think lightening was a great connector. It was very small and would rarely break or get damaged.

It’s not a bad cable. But even Macs and iPads have USB C. Not to mention, thousands of other devices. So it’s good to carry just one cable for all most of my devices. I will have original AirPods Pro, Apple Watch, and then cycling equip that uses micro USB. But it’s a step in the right direction.
I don't get why the dislikes on this video, it's pretty informative whether it's opinionated or not. Great job!
Lighting Port is bad😂 i am glad usb c is finally come❤
No need to explain, apple really disappoints
They will not! They earn a big profit with Lightning Licensings. Glad EU made the move. 👏🏻
Money. Going USB C means they lose licensing profits.
🎉
They waited so long because of one word,, we all know what it is
2:35 I still have that product
Apple waited because they're petty and needed to be nudged to change, and because they see it as being "forced" even though all of their other products already have usb-c they had a hissy fit and implemented usb-c into the iPhone in the most back-handed way possible
@cunty
9 ай бұрын
they weren't being petty, it's a matter of money. accessory makers needed to license lightning so apple made money off each cable produced; with usb-c being an open standard, they can't do that anymore and are losing a valuable revenue stream. stop personifying and projecting emotions onto corporations. their job is to make as much money as possible to please their investors.

More than anything Apple wants to go port-less.

European Union: "Put USB-C ports on all your iPhones or I won't allow you to sell them here." Apple: "You can't do this to me!" European Union: "Just did. Deal with it." Apple: "Dear customers! Introducing the latest Apple innovation: USB-C!"

Hello! Hi!
Does anyone know if they limited charging speed for non MFi usb c cables? There were rumors that they developed a geographic locating system that would make them limit the charging speed outside of EU countries.

USB 2.0 for the non Pro version. So you buy a €1000 phone and get USB speeds from the year 2000. Apple is one big scam.
The European 🇪🇺 Union force them
They did it causa they were forced to. Wasnt cause theyre some nice and decent company. Lmfao
