It was probably the best game of the series. I would love to see a Test on that Townsville pitch it would produce retro entertainment. Zimbabwe understand classic technique; their concentration does tend to elude them, but they are better than they seem. The absence of Muzarabani was regrettable. Warner, Starc & Hazlewood were great. Warner has improved markedly, he reminded of Slats in this knock. Starc did not deserve to have the winning runs hit off him. Maxi, Smith, Agar, Carey did not judge length well, the capitulation cost the game. It was great & if Australia remedy some technical flaws, ie reading conditions it will be a superb summer. Congrats Zimbabwe.

Big achievement for Zimbabwe. They deserve that. Chakaba was brilliant.

This was the dream team for Zimbabwe. This squad qualified for the first round of the T20 world the same year, defeated west indies and got into the super 12, tied with SA, defeated Pakistan. Only if they had defeated Bangladesh, the match which they lost by the barest of margins, they would have gone to the top of their group and maybe into the semis, and would have qualified for the 2024 T20 World Cup as well. Alas they finished at the bottom of their group, lost the qualifiers for 2023 WC, also lost the qualifiers for 2024 T20WC. Being a Zim supporter is painful
