In 90's Zimbabwe was such a strong side

Zimbabwe were great to watch in the early to mid 2000s. They may not have that much but they were competitive in most matches even against the mighty Australian team that was annihilating everyone at the time. The Flower brothers were 2 of my favourite players in that team

Zimbabwe did not lost against Ireland. It was tie between them. African cricket can grow with the help of proper plans. But the quota system is not good for them specially south africa. Zimbabwean cricket is like "One step forward, but two steps backward" which means inconsistent. They failed to qualify 2023CWC & 2024T20WC. I hope, they will comeback.

So sad to see Zimbabwe cricket in such a situation....they were such a force in the 90s and early2000s....I was a little kid back them but was so used to hear about Grant and Andy Flower from my father....AAH...past always feels so magical...I remember Aussies thrashing us in the 2003 WC final...Felt so helpless but so crazy about cricket....Yesterday we won the T20 final but now I dont feel that strongly about cricket as I used to...honestly speaking, cricket has lost its charm for me....Hope to see the old cricketing nations rise again strongly....Hope to see the rise of test cricket..... I have always been a fan of Zimbabwe and always rooted for them in any match (even aginst Pakistan). They have great talent and when they win a match it is so pleasing to watch. However it is disheartening to see the downfall of zimbabwe cricket. Hopefully they will make a comeback 🇿🇼❤ 🇵🇰

What's more heart breaking to see is that the ipl franchises are not even looking at Zimbabwe players. Teams Iike CSK, srh who used to encourage young talents from Afghanistan and srilanka AA re not eveb considering promising players from Zimbabwe. If ipl franchise atleast pick 5-6 Zimbabwe players for 20-50 lakhs it will massively help them financially.
