Historically Accurate Shield Combat in VR - Blade and Sorcery

Ойындар

Binding weapons with shields is a big part of sword and board combat, that's difficult (rather kinda impossible) in this game. I tried my best though!
Also apologies to the HEMA guys for the reverse grip lol, that kill was at least a little cool though you gotta admit. Anyways, sped up slow motion footage was used.

Watch the fight scene from Troy where Achilles used spear/shield and then sword and shield, it's so fun to re-enact in VR and work a treat. Squat down low, left arm with the shield up at 90 deg with your elbow at 90 deg, so the shield is laid like a plate (keeps more distance between the enemy and you) and a spear like a snooker cue on top.
