The BEST Blade and Sorcery U11 dungeon run you will ever see

Ойындар

Went for something a little different this time. Hope you like it. This is Blade and Sorcery U11, no mods, no commentary, no bs dungeon run. Nice and simple.

    I am crazy about B+S and Dammmmm.... this Dungeon run was funny, cool, and so impressive! I love the fact this is being played the way the game was intended. OK yeah Mods are funny and cool too, but they break the delicately balanced gameplay. I mean it's super fun to do a Dungeon run with a lightsaber, blasters and a mandalorian Jetpack - but you are a God. Just using the vanilla game weapons and spells means you need to think on your feet, improvise, and end up with so many hilarious, stressful, and wonderful moments. This Game, Half Life Alyx, and Walking Dead Saints and Sinners. For me, the top 3 in VR.

  • @interestingameplay

    My game stutters as well, it looks a little smoother on video but it's not to the point that it's unplayable. I have a laptop with a RTX2070 (about equivalent to a desktop RTX2060) and my cpu is an i7-8750H with quest 2 (link cable). My gpu is fine but I find my cpu is holding my performance back, specially in VR games. Possible Solutions: -See if reducing the MSAA and other graphics setting helps significantly, if not it means your gpu is fine and the problem lies elsewhere (possibly an underpowered cpu like me or something else) -First off in the games settings reduce "max number of bodies/dropped objects" to minimum and make sure "cleanup visible dead" is ON. -Second if you should delete the current save file (located is Documents/My Games/Blade and Sorcery) and make a new one since previous updates and some mods leave residual data in the save which is known to affect performance. -I have heard that some people have a smoother experience with Air Link instead of the Link Cable and some people the other way around so maybe you can try that using both and see which is better for you. -Having a LOT of mods installed at once is never a good idea. -Some mods like sectory, improved blood, zendatsu etc. affect performance. I know how frustrating it is to have a stuttery VR experience. I hope this helps : )

    Most youtubers use slow motion way too much. That means the real moments to make it count really arent that special. You use it just at the right time and during fights the real time action is where it counts. The time where you grabbed onto the swinging chain mid air was kinda cool but I would've preferred real time. Edit: the realism where you failed to jump and had to hover down and get hurt was awesome. Down to brushing yourself off and using support.

    @@interestingameplay Wait, isnt the whole video slowmow when your fighting? The sound fx are clearly wonky compared to normal play. Most notably at the 1:15 mark the sfx go from clearly sped up slowmo sound to regular. You are trying to make it look like its not using slow motion but that is being kinda disingenuous. I wouldnt have said anything but you had so many comments saying how good this run was and you didnt take the chance to come clean so...

  • @interestingameplay

    @interestingameplay

    @@sweetbabycheeses734 While it's true I have used the "sped up slow mo" it's not for entire fights, only for little fairs like the knife flips (you can see flips having a wierd floaty physics to them) and like at that one moment near the end of the level in the cave just before the castle where I caught the dude's axe mid swing (again you can see the speed of his swing looks off). There were moments that would have looked much better with slowmo like in the room i was using gravity magic it took me 6-7 attempts to get my axe into the guys face (weapons pierce flesh very easily in slow motion) ~sorry for not using timestamps I'm my phone~ For the variations in sound, it's has to be the reverb on sounds dungeons has in most of it's rooms (you can feel it yourself when you play, it's more noticeable in smaller rooms and caves). As far as I'm aware no other map has that. As for the anomaly you mention at 01:15, I'm pretty sure It's just the stairs. The footsteps sounds are closer together when climbing the stairs. You can compare the sound of me climbing those steps to the sound of me descending steps just a second after I go over the wooden part and see the sound is exactly the same the only difference is the gap been the footsteps sound. I'm not aware of any method in which you can speed up/slow down footage while keeping the sound profile so similar. Hope this clears it up, I didn't mention the sped up slow mo because I used it in a very limited manner and for things less important for actual combat although I agree the catching axe part is an exception to that. I didn't want to interrupt the flow of combat for something that isn't cool like jumping off a bridge (my channel is a cinematic channel after all) . I don't think it's really that significant but if you think so and felt I was deceptive I can put it in my pinned comment at the top so everyone can see.

  • @CptShibe

    @@interestingameplay Your video is really impressive in its own right as slow-motion combat, its sick dude, but watching this its pretty obvious that you didn't use slow mo in a 'very limited manner'. The audio gives it away, like Frank says, he just didn't mention the fact that you can tell it from the voices and not just the reverb. There's a very obvious pitch change whenever you fight in slow motion that isn't there when you're just wandering about, or out of combat, or whatever, so like, don't push it onto the slight 'reverb' that the rooms have, he's very much talking about the change in pitch that's there majority of the time you're in combat, and goes back to normal when you're out of combat. An extra to put onto that is the fact that your head turns extremely fast at some points, which, although plausible, definitely works to reinforce the fact that its slow motion, it just looks extremely unnatural. I find it odd that you're trying to sell it as something else than it really is, as though you're trying to give yourself much more credit than its worth - like i said, it's already impressive, why try to pretend like majority of the combat in this video isn't slow motion. You're creating cinematic content, you're not trying to be the absolute best at the game, so you'd be better off just putting "Parts of this video have been sped up for your cinematic viewing pleasure" or whatever at the start of the video, as a pinned comment or in the description. You didn't mention the sped up slow mo because you claim used it in a very limited manner or whatever, but you didn't at all, almost every interesting part of this video is shot in slow motion and you know it aswell. I rest my case in saying that you have definitely made this video seem very deceptive, i absolutely love the content you've made but the whole gimmick about making sped-up slow motion videos and acting like they aren't just that is just a little too silly to me :p It's a great video but the underlying tones in you being dishonest about the true nature of it is kind of off-putting. Have a good one regardless, i do look forward to all of your future content.

  • @interestingameplay

    @@CptShibe This...is a sobering experience. I never wanted to do this. It's just that when the channel started gaining traction, along with all the nice response there were the very few comments like "its sped up...not worth my time" or something along those lines. As few and far between those kinds of comments were, I couldn't help but get a little defensive. However, that doesn't change the fact I lied. Personal insecurity is no excuse for being dishonest to my main audience that has been nothing but supportive and motivating. Kind worded comments like yours and Frank's have helped me realize that. I have now mentioned it clear as day in the pinned comment and will be doing so in all my future content as well. So thank you! For supporting my content and keeping me honest. I hope you can look past this and continue to enjoy my videos.

    If anyone wants to know some mods to use for better immersion, then I’d recommend the following mods: -Fast Weapon Handling(lower value of some of the numbers down to the in-between of 7500 and 8500 in the .JSON file, or you can use better sword handling instead,up to you.) -Medieval MegaPack -Instant SlowMotion -Lift Anywhere -HuJohner choking mod(requires steamVR input patch regardless if you are using Oculus or not) -Neeshka’s health modifier (paired with Survivable Dismemberment by TotalConcentration) -No Shields for U11(MMP add-on optional) I recommend these for anyone new to blade & sorcery that doesn’t know what mods to download for immersion, or anyone that hasn’t downloaded them already. These improve immersion by a large factor due to the player having slightly more maneuverability and options when it comes to stealth (via HuJohner’s choking mod), or just outright murdering NPCs and popping off heads like a Lego brick. But either way, it’s immersive as all hell, it’s more fun when the NPCs have more weapons, but also takes away their shields, because honestly, those shields have been the literal death of me several times throughout countless dungeon runs. (Also to find these mods go to nexusmods.com and find the blade & sorcery category. (Another note, use manual download when downloading files off of Nexus. You can also find tutorials on how to get the mods up and running in the game.))

Its like every time you turn your back to them they just forget you exist. I know the ai in this game is pure jank but damn this is on a whole new level. Its like watching a mall ninja trip over a pile of metal pots and then proceed beat up a bunch of unaware cardboard cutouts.
